Health as a component in humans is paramount as it dictates the overall well-being of individuals. Health care as a function includes the medical personnel, facilities, and infrastructure in the health sector, which should be made accessible, and be of the best quality. Access to health care services needs to be made a guarantee to the people whenever required at any particular time. In America, access to health services is simplified through the insurance covers to which its citizens are subjected to that helps in clearing their medical bills. This paper's main scope is to discuss how people will attain health care attention.
Strengths and WeaknessesThe author's text does not focus on what methodologies will the government put in place to address the issue of medical care as a human right to its citizens. The text's strength highlights universal health care as a pathway that gets rid of discrimination that is usually propagated by the differences in the social class (McGill & McNaughton, 2016). Most of the employed individuals are covered by insurances that cater to their medicals needs once they get admitted, and this is the converse to the people from humble backgrounds.
McGill assumes that presenting health care information involves creating patient data files in a computer database system (2016). Accessing the information is literally easy since the data saved in the hospital's database categorizes patients according to their kinds of ailments. Medical practitioners conduct lab tests and give feedback to their patients to proceed with treatment.
Healthy individuals are active in their daily physical activities, which in turn makes them productive. Conversely, some persons argue that for health care to be equitably distributed, then resources of insurmountable percentages need to be factored in the execution. Isolation of individuals during the time of need will expose them to me danger specifically because they will not be in a position to fend for their own needs. Governments should come up with strategies that seek to incorporate all people into the scheme of receiving medical services (McGill & McNaughton, 2016). Money not utilized by individuals who pay for the insurance covers and, to some extent, won't require their services for a while should be channeled to cater to the less fortunate.
Reflection on The Topic
Some people partake health services as a privilege, and its access remains on those who can pay. The working class pays for their insurances, and this creates a platform in which the company formulates a coverage plan once an ailment strikes. The consequences of not providing the people with quality health care are life-threatening since chronic illnesses will go undetected and later cause difficulties in prevention. Despite the united states being an industrialized country, its citizens do not have access to health care as a fundamental right.
Other government officials raised an argument that relates health care to a commodity which one should purchase. Rendering the medical services free will compromise on the government operations since a significant amount of resources to cater for all the patients will be demanding. The officials state that the provision of services without charge does not obligate the medical practitioners to get forced to work unwillingly.
To sum up, I advocate for the provision of quality medical care services to every single citizen within a country. Health is essential in keeping everybody in shape to be productive in their workplaces or rather surroundings. Insurance needs to get customized in that, the money paid and gets no use by the clients; then it should be converted to cater for the unfortunate in the society.
