What makes life meaningful? It is the daily things that people do in life. People work hard and smart every day to earn a living, and every person's work need to be respected and appreciated. Some work in offices, some in farms and others do fishing, and they ensure that the delicious fish meal that people enjoy is made available every day. They go through difficult times as they have to wake up very early in the morning to go fishing. In the picture above a man is seen throwing a fishing net into the water to catch some fish. Fishing can be both an economic activity and a hobby, but most people do it to earn a living. It is done in several parts of the world where there are freshwater bodies. The picture taken tells a lot about the person and also the activity he is doing. The paper will, therefore, describe the image and what can be ascertained from it about the activities people engage in to earn a living.

The picture shows a man who seems to use a lot of energy throwing the net to make it go far and wide. From the posture captured in the photo, it is evident that the net has been cast into the water strategically to achieve a given position. From the picture, one can tell that this is a fisherman who could be earning a source of living from the fishing activities. He has an attire that can allow one to go into the water just like swimmers do comfortably. It is probably the fishing attire which will allow him flexibility in his duty. The man is an African American who looks like he is thirty to forty years old. Beside him, there is a boat that he uses to go round the sea looking for the best place to catch some fish. In the furthest end of the sea the skies are blue but with some clouds gathered though they do not look like rain clouds. It makes the environment look serene and conducive for the fishing activity.

Similarly there is a dark blue color of the water at the end of the sea, it not only shows how far and wide the sea is but also brings the narrowing effect used to illustrate the dimensions of pictures. There is also a whitish color towards the shores, and this is a vast tide rolling towards where the fisherman is. It gives two thoughts on what the gentleman is doing. One of them is that he could be running to pull out the net before the tide reaches him or he could be running to cast the net before the tidelands to where he is. There is a rope that is loosely hanging from the boat and looks like it is connected to the net so that as the fisherman is going around the sea, he can pull his loss around.

Regarding the activities that people do to earn a living the picture speaks volumes because it depicts the hard work of the person doing the fishing activity, determination to achieve his goal. It is important to note that fishing can be done for two purposes as a hobby and as a way of earning a living. The picture is clear and has been captured most tactically to achieve the movement of the fisherman and a good view of the water body.
