There is lack of comprehensive study that has been conducted to show the impacts of the introduction of audiobooks in adult learning, specifically in the reading and comprehension. Many study literature does not indicate the impacts of audiobook learning when it comes to the improvement of reading and comprehension. The above study gap is important because it will add into what is already in existence in improving the adult learning. In other words, educators can use the findings in the above study to improve reading and comprehension among adult learners.

Adult learning is on the rise, and many education systems are usually in search of different elaborate methods that can be applied in improving the reading and comprehension as well as general language skills. The study is therefore important in revealing some of the best aspects of adult learning that can be incorporated in the learning process. The creation of comprehensive research on the impacts of audiobooks in adult reading and comprehension will enable the improvement in the learning process. The research will add value to the already existing kinds of literature that consist of findings on various forms of adult education.
