Carcinogens are substances, radiation, or radionuclide that promote carcinogenesis, which is the formation of cancer; it may be an ability due to ability that can damage the genome or the disruption of cellular metabolic process. The ten microbiological agents are Nontyphoidal salmonella, listeria, toxoplasma, campylobacter, clostridium, E-Coli, norovirus, staphylococcus, shiggela, vibrio vulnificus. Some of the ways to prevent foodborne illness are cooking poultry and meat to safe internal temperature, not drinking unpasteurized milk products or milk, always washing hands with soap and running water after using the toilet, and handling any raw meat, changing diapers even after touching animals. Also, not using canned foods that are damaged or showing signs of swelling, not drinking water that is not treated.
Practical methods of preventing foodborne illness at home or business are ensuring milk and milk products used are pasteurized, keeping hot food (over 140 Fahrenheit) and cold food should be kept at 40 Fahrenheit. The procedure of investigating the foodborne outbreak by the health department, step one, is by detecting possible outbreak of food airborne illness, which can be achieved by using public health surveillance methods like informal reports or formal reports of disease. Step two finding and defining to help public health officials know timing severity, possible sources of the foodborne outbreak, and the size of the people who have been affected. Development of case definition on who to include as part of the epidemic, and use the case definitions in searching illness related to the explosion, the sickness are drawn on epic curve (epidemic curve) so that it can be used by public health officials to track disease when it occurs over time.
Step 3 generation of hypotheses about the likely sources is an ongoing process that explains that outbreaks are disapproved or continually changed as new information is gathered, such as questioners, home visits, and questioners. It helps in narrowing down where and how people got sick in the outbreak. Step 4 test hypotheses, this is to test and determine if the outbreak causes were correctly identified, it is done by different methods the main ones being food testing and analytical epidemiologic. Step 5 solving the food source and contamination points, three types of data is used to link the illness to contaminated foods and solve outbreak, namely food and environment testing, epidemiologic, and trace back. Step 6, control an epidemic after the outbreak source has been determined, control measures are taken, depending on the information collected, public health officials choose appropriate; action. However, the standards can change as investigations are ongoing. Step 7 is deciding that the outbreak is over. This is when the number of illnesses subsides to what the investigators expected; however, if the disease rises, then investigations restarts or continues FDA.
The significant regulation for protecting food from carcinogens requires that sponsored compounds intended for use in food-producing animals should be safe, and the food produced from these animals be safe for consumption. The purpose is to prevent inducing cancer to the users of the product, mainly animals or people. There should be changes in the regulation to consist of animals and include pants, especially those produced in GMOs. The intended impact of food-safety low in my local community is to ensure that food being produced is safe and does not have any adverse effects either in the short term or the long-run life of consumers. The law also guides producers on which compounds to use and which ones should not be used by testing the compounds' viability in the government laboratories and giving recommendations.
