Domestic violence at home brings about the destruction and disorder in the lives it contaminates. The intra-clairvoyant and relational impact of the savagery perpetrated by a friend or family member far outlive the physical injuries. Casualties of abuse are bound to experience the ill effects of sadness, nervousness, psychosomatic manifestations, eating issues, and lack of sexual interest (Sullivan et al., 2018). Abuse at home accomplishes more than breaking the bodies and spirits of ladies and kids; it denies ladies the opportunity to contribute to the economy by working, which has serious ramifications to the economy. Whenever my uncle would hit me as punishment, it hurt me as I felt I was not loved.

Stress is the main source of abusive behavior at home. Factors such as Joblessness drugs, liquor, and poverty can bring about an individual being violent. Additionally, if an individual was abused as a child, they may become abusers themselves in future. Study shows that numerous individuals who were abused in their adolescence become abusers themselves (Sullivan et al., 2018).

Domestic abuse will come in different kinds such as physical violence which includes all forms of physical violence intended to harm the other person physically. The subsequent form, which is psychological mistreatment, comprises of reliably doing or directing sentiments toward a person that will genuinely hurt them. We cannot forget sexual abuse. When I was in a relationship with my ex-boyfriend, he coerced and forced me to engage in intercourse whether I liked it or not. He felt that he had a right over your body, and hence resulted to physical violence when I declined his advances (Berns, 2017). Every human being has the right to choose for themselves, and this should be no different. Despite the abuses being different, they all leave their victims damaged in more than one way. For instance, lack of self-confidence and will to keep fighting is most common with victims of such assaults.

Any rational individual in society is against domestic abuse and believes that it should be combated by all means necessary. The fact that domestic violence is a health risk and causes psychological damage to children should be all the motivation we need to join the fight. Nonetheless, it still manages to run rampant in our society despite there being laws against it. I was in abusive relationships where I felt that I could not leave as I was dependent on my ex-boyfriend. I continuously withstood abuse and even learnt ways to help me cope with my situation. Domestic violence should be considered as an enormous danger to society (Choudhry & Herring, 1017).

Conclusion

In conclusion, domestic violence is an enormous challenge to the wellbeing of women and children significantly. Therefore, it should be tackled at all levels of administration to make sure that it is eradicated. It will continuously plague our society by giving those among us with the physical advantage to exploit those beneath them. It is survival for the fittest as Darwin's theory of evolution states, but this will lead us a bad path. Those in a position of power ought to create more awareness and advocate that the punishments for domestic violence cases be made more severe; it may very well be the best method to end this cycle of abuse.
