I am going to discuss a live performance I attended in New York City. The live performance took place in the stage and was quite an interesting performance. I watched the Houston Choral society which was impressive history since I had the chance of seeing an ensemble work that was led by a vocalist, and how the performance of the entire concert as well as the techniques that used to bring out various stage designs. The concert had various aspects that made the play interesting on the stage. The concert captured the interest of the audience due to its performance and the effects it brought to the stage. Most of the people who attended the play had a casual dress-code and were keen to watch the concert from the beginning until the end of the performance. The number of people attending the concert did not affect any connection between the audience and performers. It had a wonderful feeling like that of listening to an interesting narrative narrated by an experienced person.
The stage setting of the play had an arch's base of the instruments and the distance to the crowd was considerably based. The directed pointed out soloist to lead song was pointed, and then they would bow as a result. It was an incredible sight to the eyes of the audience as it brought out a classical concert. The instrument performers create a uniform voice that sticks to the mind of the audience in general. The vocal performer made it look real. The effect it did on the audience was excellent; I have never seen it before. They respond to what the piece demand at that instant. From the effect created to the audience, I was convinced that the composer wrote an idea with the stage in mind. It is fitted for the stage since it fitted being performed there other than in an open setting. There was also the use of trumpets, French horns, oboes, clarinets, tubas, saxophones, percussions, and bassoons (Keller, 2018). The devices used to make the music were interesting to listen.
Conclusion
I enjoyed the live performance and given chance again I would go there again. The performance was incredible. I feel that the every one of the on-screen characters and off-screen characters completed an unusual activity in all parts of the execution, and if I were to rate the play; I would give it a ten. The music taught me a lot of things about stage and performances. All the authors who wrote those songs must have thought of the stage in their mind to come up with such performance. The concert was fun and at the same time educational on the issues related to stage and stage performance in general. The director and his crew completed an incredible activity organizing the performers and on-screen characters. Everything that was occurring was anything but awkward to see. The main thing about the phase in these kinds of plays that cannot be revised is the seating. However, you don't get the opportunity to see the show from one of the players. When they are interfacing, you may see one of the performing artist's facial appearances, however then the other may have their back turned towards you. There was the utilization of the stage, and I got the opportunity to see all the activity.
