During my first clinical experience at the Saint Joseph clinical level three hospital, one of the patients whom I was attending to and who I keenly observed was looking so much anxiety. So when I further took a proper look and at the same time watched her behavior and how she was acting more closely, I come to realize that the concept of vulnerability together an intense stress was really playing a very significant role on how she was perceiving the idea of the upcoming operation in general. This according to my knowledge of operation and as a clinical nurse was no light issue to be assumed and therefore I seized an opportunity t privately speak with the patient. During our conversation, the patient comes out clear and explained she has not had enough after the travel and that she was exhausted and due to this reason she was well prepared for the operation which was to take place.
During my observation I overhead one of the nurses previously asking the patient in case anyone was in need of an active rest and she has no time to say that there was not really enough time her to have a proper rest and this now explains to me why there was so much unrest with the patient. According to me, I believe that since there was an anonymous no when the condition and the .state of the patient were asked clearly gives me the answer as to why the patient has no otherwise but just to comply with the majority response. My main clinical concern with the patient and in relation to the nursing concept was to ensure that the patient remains safe and was at ease with all the clinical activities that were to take place. I took it upon myself to advocate for her and to ensure she was given an Ativan who was supposed to properly explain the situation to her and ensure that he/she provides a calming effect to the patient. The patient really agreed with my idea and now I request upon the nurse who was in charge allowed and given time to explain her whole situation to enable reassure that everything was okay.
In my decision t assist, I believe to have used an evidence-based decision making and this was because I based my decision on the variety of responses and through a proper scientific research that a proper and close observation of the patient. This enables me to understand the patients' needs and therefore gives me a room to interact and allow the patient to have a free interaction time which enables me to really understand what the patient problem really lies on. Through this process, I was able to a significant conclusion in that the patient gives out what was really wrong which was the utmost goal for my observation since I was dead sure that the patient was not okay. This enables me to provide an Ativan for the patient whose main purpose was to advocate for the changes within the patient before the operation takes place to confirms that .the patient was fit for the clinical activity that was set forth. The Ativan has no choice but to ensure that the patient was significantly confirming signs that would enable to provide a therapeutic response.
Upon the realization that the patient was struggling with various psychological problems, I ensured that the condition she was placed on will give her a clear vision and a positive mind and this would have really enabled her to have a clear sound mind about was supposed to take place. Through I came to realize that clinically based decision making based on this my self-reflection experience was a very significant aspect of a care delivery to the patient. This is mainly because of the ability of the clinical making decision to blend that required information more so about the child and this enables a significant decision that will later be implemented in whatever aspect of the situation. This is the main reason as to why most of the decision that I made in my time with the patient was to ensure that any further consultation and operations that were to take place were in line with what we have achieved in our conversation.
Conclusion
The interaction with the client, looking into her problems and coming up with a proper decision that enables her to get the required services was one of the most important achievement I have to meet in my profession. This was because my main objective was to be of assistant to the general population and more in times when anybody was in dire need of my assistant. Taking this activity was quite a life-changing challenge but the positive result that was accomplished has always motivated me to move on and to ensure that I give the required attention to whatever matter that was before. The patient went ahead to have a very successful operation and this was quite a good achievement. I, therefore, realize that making better decisions and working to ensure that all the plans are headed was a better chance to make somebody or any person achieve whatever task he or she may have in life. And therefore according to me it was a life changing experience and at the same time a stepping stone towards building my career in the positive direction and to achieve better plans ahead.
