Introduction
Clean future energy is one of the elements that most people in the world desire. The presence of clean energy in the world means that there will be less pollution; hence its effects will be lower. Current, the kind of energy used in the world has a lot of effects, and one of them is the pollution of the environment. According to Dincer and Acar (2017), the pollution of the situation is a great danger since it can harm human lives and other living things such as animals. Since the effects of these energies have been increasing, as well as their effects, most business leaders have been forced to rethink their use of energy.
One of the elements that force these leaders to rethink their use of energy is the need to end the US dependence on foreign oil (Dincer & Acar, 2017). Relying on foreign oil is costly, hence the business leaders have resorted to natural gas, which is much cheaper. The second force is the campaign to shift to clean energy to curb climate change. The climate change factor has motivated business leaders to change their use of energy by employing clean energy that has little emissions (Ellabban, Abu-Rub, and Blaabjerg, 2014). The third force making business leaders rethink their use of energy is the political as well as the economic forces. The presence of a particular political or economic forces may influence a business leader to rethink their strategies regarding the use of energy. Therefore, these forces may force an organization to make decisions that will be important to it. The fourth factor that is causing the business leader to rethink their use of energy is the customers' needs and demands (Ellabban, Abu-Rub, and Blaabjerg, 2014). If the needs of the customers are inclined towards a certain type of energy, then the business leader must meet those needs to remain relevant in the market. For example, if the customers demand electric vehicles, the business leaders will have to rethink and produce cars that are electric and not fuel.
Managers That Would Make Wide Decisions About Company Energy Use
Organizations have various levels of managers who are responsible for overseeing different activities. These managers include top managers, middle managers, and first-line managers. In this case, the managers that would be responsible for making wide decisions about company energy use are the top managers.
The top managers are responsible for overseeing all the major activities of the organization since they are skilled and experienced (Amanchukwu, Stanley & Ololube, 2015). The company energy use is a major activity that, if it is not well supervised, it will not be effective. Therefore, it is the role of the top manager to make wide decisions concerning company energy use due to their expertise.
By all means, the next Great Shale Gas Rush is on; hence it will have to be embraced in various workplaces. The factor that motivated the adoption of the Great Shale Gas Rush is that there has been increased production within the domestic levels at a rate that has not been seen before (Amanchukwu, Stanley & Ololube, 2015). The new workplace may enable all the managers to capitalize on the Great Shale Gas Rush in various ways.
One such methods that can be used in developing a strong leadership team. A strong leadership team is capable of leading the organization in the right direction, and that is to achieve the set goals and objectives. Having goals and objectives motivates people to work extra hard and exhibit higher performance (Amanchukwu, Stanley & Ololube, 2015). Therefore, the presence of strong leadership within the organization will be essential to the business to capitalize on the Great Shale Gas Rush.
The second method is to have proper control (Amanchukwu, Stanley & Ololube, 2015). Control is an essential aspect of the business because it ensures that activities are done in the right manner. This approach will ensure that the actions an organization is undertaking is aligned towards the capitalization of the Great Shale Gas Rush. The third aspect is learning an important issue that may or may not work for the company. Therefore, managers should be aware of the product and the vital elements related to it, such as competition and cost.
Historical Management Perspectives and the Exploration and Extraction of Natural Gas
Once a natural resource such as Natural Gas has been discovered, it must be extraction and used for important purposes. In this case, many concepts surround the exploration as well as the extraction of Natural gas. However, the main concept surrounding the exploration and extraction of natural gas is the historical management perspectives. An example of historical management perspectives relevant to the exploration, as well as the extraction of natural gas, is drilling.
Drilling is one of the primary methods that has been used to extract natural resources in the past years (Kark, Brokovich, Mazor & Levin, 2015). However, this approach is still relevant when it comes to natural gas because it is used for exploration as well as extraction. The drilling approach that is used in the extraction of various minerals has changed over the years with the help of technology (Kark et al., 2015). The introduction of technology into this approach has influenced the drilling activity by making the process of production, especially regarding the natural gas to be high tech.
