I pursue a course in Business Management to understand what appeals to the audience and hence sharpening my marketing skills tailored to meet customer needs. Such also enables the gathering of detailed information about effective marketing strategies, financial information. The course also provides sufficient data to aid effective decision making. Additionally, I wanted to learn the local and international financial market concepts, which will enable me to run my business smoothly. In line with financing, I also wanted to develop robust accounting and investment skills.

Studying Business Management, sharpened my skills and abilities in many facets of a business. The course exposed me to the five-practices of leadership, which are crucial skills required to run a successful business. Furthermore, I know financial, investment, and marketing strategies. The MBA program offers extensive management training. Such kind of training particularly appeals to my mission of becoming a self-employed entrepreneur. I am particularly interested in the program because of my strong background in business management. Thus, an opportunity to pursue an MBA program will better position me to become an effective manager – who can steer a startup company to great success. After researching what makes a business successful, I discovered that strong and practical management skills are the ingredient for the success of any business. Therefore, an MBA program aligns with the goals of running my own business since the curriculum mainly focusses on imparting management skills and abilities to its learners.

I also have a vision of starting a business that will span the international market. Therefore, I find this program a prerequisite for me since it offers extensive international financing training. By pursuing an MBA, the opportunity will enable me to have a deeper understanding of the global practices applied in marketing and financing strategies, which will equip me with skills of identifying opportunities and threats for my business. Moreover, I will also learn the market environments, international standards, and policies. Hence, an opportunity to study an MBA program will enable me to bridge the gap of knowledge and skills that were introduced in my undergraduate studies.

I obtained exposure to the five-practices of leadership, which include; model the way, inspire a shared vision, challenge the process, enable others to act, and encourage the heart. I have also managed to build my research and analytical skills while studying for my business management degree.
