Eugene Elly, made the first ever air carrier in 14th November 1910, at the deck of a light USS Birmingham cruiser which had been transformed to an angle deck for this specific project. This gave rise to the naval aviation, with the USS Birmingham furnished with a runway on the deck, which was 83Feet, leaving the craft with 57Feet for taking off. On his mission to test this plane, Elly guided it to the water in order to build up speed, after taking off, and as he took off he was not accurate enough takeoff distance, which made the craft smack into the water causing damage to the propeller and Elly got his goggles sprayed saltwater on. He, however, bounced back to the air, and in five minutes of not more than 3 miles of flying, he landed on a beach.

This was later noted by Woody (2018), that Aerial navigation has proved to be a factor that must be given concern in the world's future naval tactics. Moreover, this mistake has aided the U.S Navy in keeping sustenance in sea power. This thus has aided in the Battle of the Coral Sea, since both side never saw each other as the strictly fought via crafts take off from carriers. It was used during the 2nd World War by the U.S, who managed to sojourn the Japanese forces in advance.

An aviation electrician has acknowledged Elly's innovation as a major contributor in his aviation passion in the Navy. He states that they have been able to spend a lot of time at the flight deck where their accomplishments of maintaining chaos, getting to go by the blood drafted rules and the hard missions they have been able to accomplish are due to Elly's craft.

Charles Taylor has been recognized as the father of aviation because of his contributions to the first aviation industry. This is shown in an anonymous postcard written by an aviation mechanic that the writer praises Taylor's contributions as really amazing ones towards the first ever powered flight. Beginning humbly been a bicycles repairer and stores keeper, no one would have ever thought that Taylor would become the icon behind aircraft.

Charles Taylor was working at the Wright Brothers who were making a flying device and they did not have knowledge on the engine creation. They, therefore, sought assistance from him and gladly agreed to assist. He succeeded building up the first ever craft engine that satisfied the specifications they were seeking and lasted for six weeks, using his bike repair shop machines which included a 14 in Putnam lathing machine, 26 in Crescent band saw, 6 in double end bench grinder, a wind tunnel, 20 in Barnes drilling press, and a natural gas combustion engine which was stationary. The project was accomplished on 17th December 1903.

Taylor assisted the Wright Brothers in working on various projects including engine upgrades and repairing the crafts after testing. Wrights made a contract with the Army on the development of the first military plane, where Taylor aided in the creation of their engines. Without Taylor, it is evident that the Wright Brothers could not have accomplished their mission of a flying device since he let the Wright Brothers use his wind tunnel in the testing of their devices.

The writer of the postcard acknowledges Taylor as having accomplished these projects with fewer machines compared to what exists and as such bows to him and acknowledge that his candle has been burning in the aviation industry through naming the FAA award after him, the Charles Taylor Master Mechanic Award. Moreover, the A&P airmen license has his image embedded at the back. Through his inventiveness, he managed to build fewer weight engines, which increased the crafts' power.
