My passion for teaching, mentoring learners, and interest in guiding student research at both graduate and undergraduate levels makes me the ideal candidate for this position. This position will provide me with the opportunity to apply skills that I have gained both in the job market and academic sector.

As a teacher, my primary objective is to motivate learners to enable them to develop their learning interests, as well as, critical thinking design to create a learner-oriented environment in the classroom. Teaching myriad of courses from undergraduate and graduate levels has enabled me to understand interests and needs of ethnically and culturally diverse student populations. Thus, I design teaching materials by taking into account the relationship between students' knowledge, and their learning abilities. I also select activities and contents that are both challenging and essential for learners so that they are inspired to think critically and feel involved in the learning process. Intuitively, my dedication and strategy to teaching have been rewarded with positive teaching assessment; a tutor can receive.

My academic training and many years of experience working as an associate professor prepare me to become a competent instructor and researcher in your department. I have extensive teaching experience in various courses that cover general chemistry, organic chemistry, upper division electives, and graduate-level courses. Moreover, my doctoral research was conducted in consultation with Prof. Shashi Ranjan and examined the submerged fermentation process on the studies on bio alcohols. Therefore, I am happy to share the knowledge gained from this dissertation and continue collaborating with your department faculty to enlarge its potential.

Besides my doctoral research, I have strong research and analytical skills. Having completed my doctoral research degree, I focused on several elements of my research field and wrote numerous good research papers in collaboration with independent researchers and my supervisors. Some of my research papers have been used to educate learners in the area of chemistry and update them on the current improvements within this sector. Working in the laboratory in the chemistry department during my doctoral and undergraduate degree provided me with the chance to explore my practical knowledge enabled me to gain practical experience.

During my post-graduate training, I was lucky to have served as an assistant tutor and sometimes stood in for lecturers for advanced courses such as organic and inorganic chemistry courses. My professional experience provided me with a broad view knowledge required to assist students to understand complex courses related to organic and inorganic chemistry. These experiences have built my confidence together with interest in teaching, and therefore I look forward to the chance to teach physical chemistry, general chemistry, and biochemistry courses to the graduate level. Moreover, I plan to work together with members of the faculty to design new courses.
