Introduction
Youtubers involve the people who create the contents which get uploaded to YouTube. In this regard, they have the followers and subscribers who are always watching the materials which they upload. The materials uploaded to YouTube vary, which can include the question and answer shows, breaking news, recorded teachings for educational purposes, music videos, prank and jokes videos for entertainment, scientific contents from space explorations, political videos, as well as motivational talks and how-to videos. The YouTube content creators have various reasons for creating the contents, such as exposing their skills to the outside world and even making some income from them, alongside the need to share particular materials with other people around the globe as a whole. In terms of YouTube content uploading frequency, it can get understood that they are not uploaded daily. Thus, the paper aims at explaining some reasons as to why the Youtubers do nit upload the contents regularly.
First, there is a need to ensure a high level of creativity in the contents to be uploaded to YouTube (Gumus, Niyazi, 22). It can established that the Youtubers have their respective communities of subscribers and viewers who love the types of contents uploaded for various reasons. Also, there are the viewers who pass by daily and get to know of the get contents of the Youtubers and can either like or ignore them. Even there are fellow YouTubers, which can be creating similar materials, therefore bringing in an aspect of competition into the industry. There is also the YouTube administration, which has put in place some rules and regulations to be followed by YouTubers. They can cover such aspects as the minimum number of likes ad subscribers required for their YouTube accounts to be maintained and remain relevant, otherwise they can be liable to closure also, the YouTube administration can have put in place the minimum number of likes, subscribers, and viewers of the uploaded content required of the contents to reach the earning threshold by the YouTubers (Gumus, Niyazi, 16). Thus, it can be observed that the YouTubers have an uphill task in uploading the content that will satisfy all of the awaiting stakeholders and promote productive working environment where the rules and regulations of the YouTube administration are well followed, the viewers, subscribers, and the fan community is maintained, the pressure of competition in the industry is sustained while the income by the YouTube content creators is well maintained for a healthy living (Bartl, Mathias, 36). Thus, for such conditions to be met, there is a need to ensure that the creativity level of the created content is entirely satisfactory. It can, thus, be understood that for high-quality creative content to be developed, it takes a lot of time and energy to be developed, which can surpass one day. Such can result in the uploading frequency of tow to three uploads per week, which is healthy in the long run. It can be established that there are some whose videos that do not require a lot of time and energy to be processed, such that those of the news as they occur. However, such videos cannot be uploaded as they have been collected from the field. They need to get edited, whereby irrelevant content will be uploaded in the long run. Only a minimal percentage of the videos in such a family can be uploaded uncut. The art of editing such videos to remain with only the resourceful content requires high-level creativity since they will be presented in the shortest time possible that save on the times of the viewers, alongside offering only the necessary material for the YouTube fans. With such adherences, there shall be a maintained stream of loyal viewers, likers, downloaders, and subscribers of the YouTube content, that will also assure constant streams of income to the YouTubers in the long run.
Additionally, there is an aspect of some events whose videos are to get uploaded to YouTube are not occurring on a daily basis. In this regard, it can get established that the YouTubers who deal in such aspects as educational materials, shows, music videos, political content, and even access to some restricted areas can be accessing such materials on selected days of the week or specific dates. Also, the rate of occurrence of some events can be unpredictable, yet their videos are required to be uploaded on a created YouTube channel (Bartl, Mathias, 18). Thus, the YouTube content creators can select some specific days of the week to upload their content to imbibe a habit of uploads on the minds of the fan community across the world. Such a schedule will be maintained even of the videos come up earlier than the uploading date, and in the event, a couple of them arise at once or within a short time difference from one another, they are preserved for uploads in the scheduled time for professionalism and adherence to the time expectations of the fans. It can be argued that some fans can be tired of waiting for the planned uploads in the competitive industry, but professionalism in uploading such highly needed content will see to it that they remain loyal in the long run.
There is also an aspect of burnout amongst some YouTubers (Bartl, Mathias, 28). Since the whole events surrounding the YouTube fraternity involves dealing with sponsors, clients, YouTube administration, as well as the sources of the contents to be uploaded, in an everyday scenario, coupled with the need to balance them with the family, and social life, the YouTubers have a high probability of getting exhausted both emotionally, mentally, and physically. Such can result in burnout. They can also get depressed, more especially to the YouTubers operating individual YouTube channels (Gumus, Niyazi, 24). To evade such adverse ramifications, there is a need for the YouTubers to employ some resting days to get refreshed, hence resulting in their failure to upload the contents every day.
Cumulatively, as can be observed above, the YouTubers do not upload their contents every day due to some irregular occurrence of events, burnouts, and the need to upload high quality and creative materials that take time to create.
