Iconic designs, iconic, and signs have significant effects on people's lives. Design influences the lives of people more than they realize. Research shows that aesthetics can affect users of products in reflective, behavioral, and visceral levels of processing (Komninos). Attractive designs and signs are thus crucial in making people feel positive about a brand and thus enhance their interaction with a product. Therefore, changes in the visual appeal and physical presentation of a product, however small, has an impact on productivity. Iconic designs and signs make it easier for customers to find what they need. When a design is good, it should be recognizable in the first instance. An example of a great icon is that of Facebook denoted F. The symbol is easily identifiable and does not require one to keep searching. Thus, good designs or logos save time. People also associate a brand with the iconic design or sign used. Therefore, these elements are essential in informing the decision-making process of the customer.

We need iconic, signs, and iconic designs for our lives as they are not only things designed to make us feel good. These elements are essential in our lives as they influence different aspects of our lives in improving comfort, safety, and efficiency. User-centered designs are particularly important in making life easier (Woo-young). Also, people generate feelings of affection by using specially customized and attractive product designs, thus causing emotions of happiness. Therefore, different elements of design are crucial in our lives and should be designed correctly.

A good designer can observe several factors in designing an icon to provide customers with a better experience. One way of making an iconic design better is by keeping the design simple to make it easy for the customers to recognize the brand quickly. Providing customers with a simple design makes the identification process easier and hence increases productivity. A good design such as a website, icon, or logo should concentrate more on the product it represents. The symbol or design should thus convey a message about the product instantly. Therefore, there should contain fewer distractions and focus more on product and navigation options. Another tactic is by increasing the transparency, effectiveness, and functionality of the design (Komninos). A designer should ensure that customers can identify the usefulness of the brand and the things they can achieve with it through simple interaction. Also, the design should be transparent enough and avoid the use of catches to influence the customer when the brand is different. Designs and icons affect the interactive experience of a user and should thus be representative of the product. A bad design represents a faulty product.
