Similar views are held by a wide range of cultural variances relative to traditions, lifestyles and religious beliefs regarding what it means to be a Native American. Many Native Americans show solidarity in their tribal groups. Some have left the reservations and joined other communities for the sake of economic opportunities which are prevalent in the United States. Many Native Americans encourage intermarriages especially with non-Indians and tend to stick to their American Culture along with their kids. However, those who joined other communities for some benefits do not presently exhibit any values, beliefs, and attitudes of their culture and have even embraced English as their primary language, neglecting their native languages.
Being a Native American means less disclosure of personal indigenous roots. Many of the Native Americans tend to do this since it is even not possible or less possible to take their traditional lifestyle out of the system of the communities that accepted them. These divided groups find it difficult to join each other while those who left for other communities find it difficult to get back to their roots. Presently, there are a lot of opportunities and benefits for the Native Americans who have joined other communities and are able to boast of indigenous blood. These opportunities do not only include monetary benefits but also encompass social activities. For example, the state Universities of Arizona tend to recruit their students regardless of their cultural background. Being a Native American, there are special programs that are offered alongside with outreach efforts and unique research to every one of the Native Americans.
Many Native Americans also see a variance in the responses of how the society views them. A particular group could adopt a culture that embraces only the useful artifacts while does not take note of the rest. However, there are a lot of shared attributes with Native Americans. It is believed that the settling of Europeans in their land led to loss and longing where their free lives could not be experienced any longer. This is valid expect that the life at the North was still challenging and this is not always made transparent. These groups of people do not disclose most of their secrets for which they understand could hurt them in the long run. For instance, many of them do not disclose that there was a war between the groups and some experienced difficulties in dealing with human efforts.
Many Native Americans tend to embrace the extended family relationships. The families are such that they are close to each other. These forms of relationship tend to show some social roles and economic obligations and the most successful ones tend to assist them who have an unstable income rate. For this reason, the Native Americans show a good level of material wealth. Native Americans also hold the respective attribute especially to the elderly members of the community. The elders are given the deference they need by members of the society including youths. The society is active in search of employment even as they are connected to their community members. The Native American youths have a sense of entitlement and hold on to the promises made by the government regarding education, protection, shelter, and other needs. However, most of them are unable to compete in the less racist America as a result of cultural differences.
