The use of visual rhetoric is emerging proficiently in speculative frameworks, and it serves a paramount goal of unraveling how pictorial features communicate effectively to the relevant audience. Further, the use of visual rhetoric accomplishes the meaning that texts are intended to portray to concerned people at a particular time and place (Posch, 2017). Therefore, the visual images that accompany a text should clearly explain the written words through the employment of proper colors and fonts of the picture. Nonetheless, the authors of rhetorical images should consider the audience to which an image is posted at any given time. Different cultures provide varied meanings to visual images; therefore, to communicate an exact definition of a text, the proper audience should be considered. The tiger post appeals strongly to the emotions of the audience as well as describing substantial attributes of the poster.
The intended audience to the post is likely to be individuals in a theatre who are interested in understanding the wild animals. I draw this assumption from the written texts beneath the visual image of the tiger. The book implores the audience to support animal-free circuses that consider an empathetic and family-friendly performance. The paramount rhetorical features that the tiger image appeal to are the pathos and ethos (Posch, 2017). First and foremost, the audience in a theatre compromises the position of the tiger. The image insinuates that the tiger feels exhausted in that horizontal position. In as much as the post serves the purposes of entertainment, the author should be considerate about the feelings of the animal just like any other living organism on earth's surface. Besides, the author tends to come to terms with the feelings of the tiger with the written texts showcased in the image. The author suggests that the show cannot proceed because of the facial expression manifested by the tiger.
Moreover, the image and that written texts communicate the different personality of the author. Further, analyzing the image based on the ethos appealing mentions that the author is a caring and understanding person. The author asserted that the show could not continue because of the state of the tiger. It only takes caring hearts to compromise with the feelings of animals because most human beings consider fellow humans and forget the opinions of other animate creatures. However, the author proves to be opposing the rational principle that fails to recognize the well-being of other living organisms. Conversely, the visual image of the tiger contradicts the caring attribute of the author. The fact that the author ties the tiger and making the animal feel tired denotes a fickle nature of nature. Instead of putting the tiger in a posture that ensures its comfort, the author places the creature in an exhausting situation.
Additionally, analyzing the image in a logos perspective appeals effectively to the argument being made in the text. Logos analysis, therefore, considers the logical evaluation of visual representation as well as the written documents appearing on the striking feature (Gries, 2019). Further, it goes undisputed that the author applied all the logical principles in the text. First and foremost, the written text beneath the tiger image insinuates that the entertainment should be conducted in a family-friendly manner. The fact that the tiger is tied on all the front and hind legs rhyme with the denotative meaning in the scripted texts. The facial expression of the tiger also is in line with the central concern of the text that suggests that the show cannot proceed any further.
The text and the visual image complement each other to communicate the central meaning of the text harmoniously. However, the visual representation manifests to be a more predominant focus in relaying the intended purpose. The version is about supporting animal-free circus that promotes human-friendly entertainment. Moreover, the image captures the attention of the audience and help to reinforce the thematic concern of the text. The visual thus deepen the meaning of the text by adding some vital information that lacks in the scripted version. The attributes of the author, for instance, are made known by analyzing the visual image in the text. Besides, the visual deepens the understanding of the text trough appealing to the emotions of the audience as well as establishing a logical request in the audience. It is thus undisputed that without the visual image, the scripted text per se would be missing the discussed features.
In conclusion, the written text and the visual image are synchronized to communicate the intended meaning in writing effectively. A rhetorical analysis is thus vital in understanding how the book and the visual representation promote a better understanding of the underlying meaning in an edition. Further, a compelling visual image should appeal to all three domains of reasoning, such as emotion, logic, and trustworthiness. In the post analyzed in the essay, the visual representation employs all these three aspects of rhetorical analysis to deepen the meaning of what is written in the text. Besides, the visual representation adds some of the missing information in the scripted text hence making the information have a definite meaning, thus making the report have a particular purpose.
