The essay is about a sense of place is determined to drive the same feeling and emotion especially to a place where we are attached to it. My presentation focuses on the Kurraba Point Park which is located in Sydney the north shore. It is almost a hundred acres of an unoccupied land which looks from far like an under-utilized resource. Although beautiful the silent mood all around the piece of the park and a small group of young boys looking for food in the cans left by visitors is an indicator of a different picture. Before all these, Kurraba Point Park was a lively park with the loudest screams of joy, couples laughing and loud chirping of birds. The waves beating on the shore was very much loud and the whole park was just the best nature park. The noise of the waves has been swallowed by the ugly loud music, the roses no longer smell as the smell of samosas and roasted flesh engulfs the air. The change is very noticeable and for each is a deeper meaning.

The park has neglected the basics of the natural state it had before and has allowed the encroachment of the people disturb the peace and the space the animals had in the park. The animals now feed on the dirty food dropped around. The street boys who have littered the environment have been referred to as the boys who eat from leftovers and have felt neglected. The animals could be feeding on a different good diet in their natural environments. There are new activities which have been newly introduced others that can further the harm of the natural environment of the park. Cars being allowed into the park makes it polluted. This is not like the days when the entrance was under guard. People wandering aimlessly in the park is the norm. The silence in the small baby monkeys, that were once joyful, shows that they are unhappy and neglected although some birds feel that the cans left are a chief source of food. The fish no longer dazzle in the natural aquarium in the past human activities in the park varied. (Dorine,2014) During weekdays the people visited the park in a few numbers. Either couple seeking silence or persons seeking a break from a tiresome work-day. It is was also easy to notice a small group of primary school kids plays soccer loudly in a far end pitch. However, the situation would change completely during the weekends. There where are social events taking place? Team bonding activities, cooking competitions and even family's day out and bicycle riding competition. On rare occasions, vendors could have been seen selling foodstuff like samosas and ice creams although there were regulations to limit the pollution of this amazing park. On rare occasions the management of the park allowed activities such as kids festivals to happen in the park and that were the daily activities like horse riding and playing in the bouncing castle could have been witnessed

Despite the large space of this park, there is an incomplete joy. It seems lonely without the little rock badgers and squirrels that left us only holes and liars to see. The encroachment by the people and the naughty boys who threw stones at them made them move away making them animals to dearly miss. There is a notion that Kurraba point park is no longer a place for the people of high social status after the management changed it from a privately-owned park to a public park allowing all people to access it for free. The cruelty being shown to the animals is seen as normal and the homeless are being viewed as the street boys who feed on leftover food. The art of noticing

Although the beauty has changed over time place looks green all through the year but suffers a little from winter, but so is any other place. The Park is undergoing a facelift and has always been an outstanding park since the time immemorial. The park has flowers and roses being planted along the path. The concentration is around the pool of water. The reason is for easier watering though there is readily available tap across the park, I think for cost-effectiveness and management, around the pool certainly prove to be the best place to be grown. The flourished and fresh daisy and roses are struggling under care to emit their fragrance across the park. The aroma of fast food fills the entrance of the park where most of the fast food shop situate. The tantalizing aroma of burgers, smokies and even ice-cream always leaves me salivating. The readily available fast food shop helps a lot especially when any person within the park feel hungry certainly, they are readily catered. I am one of the victims addicted to hot dog and burgers. Therefore, Kurrabar park serves me well. Nevertheless, the only drawback I find while at the park, comes from car fumes from the highway which is adjacent to the park area.

The soundscape from the park forms another important aspect, especially to any visitor. The park is located in an open field thus the wind is constantly blowing across the park. This cause the trees to swing side to side producing the creaking sound. The ecosystem of the park forms a natural environment for breeding of bird which is a project being revived. I like going into the woods to hear the birds chirping their melodious songs. The splashing sound of water from ocean shore flowing through the park, give a relaxation sound to anyone in the park who need peace of mind. From far on a clear morning, it is possible to hear coyote calling. Since the park forms a good place to camp. Occasionally the sound of horses on the trail could be a common scenario.

The colony of the park constitutes of all kind of people ranging from children, teens, youths, and adult. It is common to find children and teen in playing fields since they are still active and their energy has to be drained in playing. The adult on the other hand like a silent environment that would probably give them peace of mind. Park Hudson serves a variety of people having different taste and unique personalities. (wood,2009.)

Conclusion

In conclusion, reflecting on this place, it has shaped my thinking concerning major issues in life. The park has brought all of the humans irrespective of their age, race, gender or even social status. The park is the natures way of telling me to go for more important things in life like appreciating the beauty of life rather than finding faults and judging others for who they are. The animals in the park feel loved, they seem to be an example of the magic love can bring to the world. The under-representation of the animals, however, is something to note and I can feel that they are lonely in the presence of a hundred human beings. The park is a message and an inspiration to me that peace can be achieved by appreciating the little nature gave us
