Introduction

Refugees and asylum seekers are the individuals who run away from their home to seek residence in another country. Most of them escape from their own country for political reasons, threats to their lives or in search of compassion. They leave their public lives behind in the hope of achieving better lives in another part of the world. Refugees and asylum seekers are all around us functioning like everybody else, and they deserve to be supported and treated with kindness. They need the protection of various legal instruments to ensure that their human rights are protected. This paper will discuss the crisis that refugees and asylum seekers from different countries like Jordan, Palestinian, face and asylum systems.

Asylum is granted to people running away from prosecution in their country, therefore, needing international protection. There are different types of asylum systems practiced by various states as a fundamental right. Universal European asylum system (CEAS) is where states procedures are done relatively and competent throughout the EU and impervious to abuse. This system sets high standards and cooperation to ensure people seeking asylum are treated in a fair and open system. The asylum seekers with special needs are offered required support and excellent protection of unaccompanied minors or tortured victims. The CEAS needs reform for its deficiencies. Its reception and asylum procedures have varied widely by member state leaving the seekers to just a few countries within Europe. The MPI and Bertelsmann Stiftung goal are to make national asylums systems that function more effectively. In Egypt, the Ottoman organization was practiced by the Ottoman Empire to the non-Muslim factions. It dealt with the delivery of research donations to young Muslim academics and offer training on peace studies to the Muslim community. One of the people who fight for safety outside of their war-filled country is Syrian refugees. Many of them die to try to cross the sea in search of a peaceful place. The Syrians are not only faced with hardship trying to get out of their country, but also a complicated process of getting accepted into a safer country. Many states are known to have brought in thousands of Syrians refugees some of them being undocumented. Although many countries are more accepting to harbor refugees, they also protect their county border heavily making it harder for many Syrians to migrate illegally. They find it necessary to protect the citizens already living in the country to accept more individuals who have been compelled from their households due to war and violence.

The battle in Syria is of remarkable ferocity and strength making it the most significant cause of refugee and internally emigrant individuals in the Middle East. Syria has displaced over 2.1 million people. These Syrian refugees end up in countries surrounding Syrian like Lebanon, Jordan, and Iraq. In Jordan, the Syrian make up a large number of its population causing some economic strain on the country. There are so many camps for displaced people hoping to cross to Jordan to gain refugee status. Policies have been made to help but have not eradicated the Syrian refugee crisis. Other than Syrians, Jordan society is intensely categorized by the existence of displaced people through the region over from the time of its independence, but it's so far to gain its national asylum structure. The geography of Jordan has profoundly been changed by the long-term encampment of compelled immigrants on its land.

The absence of a detailed lawful status for many immigrants keeps them in a brief condition that clashes with the continuation of their exile. Jordan government have provided the Syrian refugees with camps that have been open since 2012 qualifying them for a residence permit. The whole neighboring part of Amman has built up immigrant sites which have become an essential part of the Jordanian metropolis. These camps are densely populated making the living conditions on the refugees very poor. There are shortages of necessities like food supply, poor tents, inadequate and necessary infrastructures. The primary cause of Palestine refugees is brutal attacks on Palestine's villages like Deir Yassin. The issue of Palestine immigrants is an existing conflict between Palestine and Israelis.

Moreover, the battle is between those who insist that only proper solution is acceptable to the refugees and those who want to choose their sovereignty freely. Palestine legal rights are disregarded, and grievances have accrued over prolonged displacement. Most of the Palestine refugees wish it is to return to their motherland, but they have no other option than settling elsewhere because Palestine has no peace.

Currently, there are more than seven million Palestinian immigrants distributed all over the globe. It also includes those Palestine who has been declined to return to their family after they have traveled overseas as a result of the partition of historic Palestine in 1948. The immigrants are recorded with the United Nations relief and work agency (UNRWA) for assistance. The Palestine refugees also consist of the Palestine who were displaced for the first time from their homes and the communities in 1967 and those who are internally displaced. These refugees flee to Israel for citizenship or occupy Palestinian territory. In Palestine refugees, there is a small number of people denied family reunification and people who have been exiled or deported. The rights given to the Palestine refugees vary from country to country. Those registered with UNRWA hold temporary residence status in the countries allocated.

Many Palestine refugees have legally been awarded citizenship in Jordan given them rights to participate in Jordanian political and economic issues. Other Palestine refugees live in camps in Lebanon, and the Lebanese government severely restrict their rights. They are considered foreigners in Lebanon since they don't have citizenship. They have no political or social rights so they cannot access the public services like education, healthcare and social security offered by the Lebanese government. Palestine refugees cannot also obtain employment in many professions, and their primary provider is UNRWA. Palestine refugees who fled to Syria are granted government services but not citizenship. Most of the Palestine refugees in Syria are as a result of the Syrian war.

Another set of refugees is Vietnamese immigrants also known as 'boat people.' The Vietnamese immigration was caused by the war in 1975 'fall of the sign' which made people of Vietnamese migrate to the United States. The war caused fear and threatened the safety of the people making them escape. Most of the Vietnamese refugees fled to asylum camps in Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, and Hong Kong. In 1980 the refugee at was passed to provide an official definition of a refugee and to set refugee admission at fifty thousand per year. This act allowed the refugee to stay in the US for one year to gain residency status. In the United States of America, Vietnamese refugees were accommodated by the voluntary agencies. They also made sure that the refugee's eventual resettlement with the local sponsors was coordinated. These agencies provided the refugees with basic needs like food and clothing.

Between the year 1980 and 2000, Vietnamese refugees were the most significant group to immigrate to America. The first people to settle were mainly ex-military, government officials and those who worked for the US during the war. The Vietnamese refugees who fleet to Thailand were attacked by the sea by Thai pirates leaving many of the refugees in the crowded camps. Others landed in Hong Kong where they were forced to go by the UK government and China. They used force when necessary to send the remaining Vietnamese refugee back to camps in Vietnam. Another group of Vietnamese refugees landed to Japan where they fled into the mountains in fear of being deported again. In many countries, the Vietnamese refugees didn't get a warm welcome. Whether they settled or in camps always lived in fear of being chased back to Vietnam. Only in few places like the US where the agencies helped the migration to run smoothly enabling many Vietnamese to escape the communist rule of North Vietnam. They integrated well with the Americans where their culture started to reflect in America.

Although the past relationship between the United States and Cuba was not doing well, this has been significantly improved allowing Cubans refuges to flee to America. They were judged for the practice of the communist government in Cuba. With time the Cuban refugees have found a home in the US where they leave a mark like in Miami. Some of the Cubans refugees are very learned which enable them to fit in the economic system successfully. They adopt a new culture in America where women seek employment and children learn other languages. Many of the refugees migrate to America in search of a stable life and secure work. So the Cubans travel back and forth to America for an excellent job to provide for their families back in Mexico. Due to these frequent visits, they introduced their culture into America including language and religion. Throughout time most of the Cuban refugees have occupied the most prominent cities like Miami and Alaska in the United States which harm the Americans because of increased rate and violence. The two countries have an agreement to redirect the flow of Cuban refugees through safe and legal channels which have Abe it easy for the urban to seek refuge in America.

Conclusion

In today's world, the rights of refugee children have been neglected despite them occupying half of the world's refugees in countries like Australia. The on-shore arrivals include the asylum seekers and unaccompanied children destroying the countries reputation. Most of them are placed indefinitely in detention camps with limited access to humanitarian's services. The use of the detention policy is to make sure that the borders are secure which fails to recognize the children human rights. Children refugees require special protection which led to the formation of UNCRC to address this issue. This agency makes sure that children receive additional humanitarian assistance and provides a detailed framework to guide the development of practices related to minor refugees. Holding the unaccompanied minors into detention is a breach of their rights which according to UNCRC terms is cruel and inhuman. Keeping them into detention effect their previous trauma and increases the grief or loss the children have already gone through.

To reduce the problems that the refugees go through while seeking a residence permit the refuge convention should be changed. This will make sure that the refugees are not returned to the country they have fled. It will ensure that the rights of refugees are protected and respected providing them with the assistance that they need.
