Background
Mixed up office building buildings are categorized as some of the most interesting buildings in the world. This paper is a combination of ideas relating to different disciplines brought together to help develop a structure whose owners would be able to enjoy amicable interactions supported by both architectural and scientific technologies. In other words, it is not just an ordinary mixed up building but a building that highly utilizes modern technology (Alexander, 1977). The building shall be able to interact with people from all demographics, ages, social statuses, religion, amongst other aspects of humanity. The house should also be environmentally friendly and beautiful.
Today's smart houses are limited to some aspects of business especially when they are needed to support several businesses, whose owners and occupants may differ in terms of preferences, complexity, purpose amongst other issues that can be solved architecturally. Also, the author intends to develop a building that has the most friendly and active security systems by utilizing modern technology. Environmentally friendly energy sources power technology (Ghaffarian, 2013). Unlike other buildings, the building offers digital guidance to people with disabilities, which would enable the business owners in the building to maximize their profits by interacting with people at all levels. Sunlight is also one of the natural resources that would be utilized to make the building attractive and able to support life.
This study is meant to identify whether technology can be maximally utilized to encourage economic growth at a faster rate by saving the time wasted by people trying to locate services or trying to meet their business partners and colleagues in Mixed-up office buildings. It is also going to be an example of buildings in which numerous businesses can be carried out without having owners complain about space and inconveniences.
Historically, people have suffered depression and other diseases for working in buildings with weak communication systems and lack of natural light from the sun. Also, people have been confused and lost in some vast buildings which have no or poor guidance systems (Stephens, 2018). Parents waste lots of time when they go shopping with their children and lose them in shopping malls. In this smart building, parents will be able to trace their children by logging into systems offered by the buildings and providing a few details. The systems would also be able to trace visually impaired individuals and offering necessary guidance.
This study primarily focuses on guidance systems which give owners of the building a better experience and ability to communicate effectively. Nevertheless, some scientific concerns would call for different experts from different fields. Furthermore, on occasions where the issues presented have already been established, there would be a need to come up with better solutions. The research also targets cities located in drier areas where the sun is brighter since it would play a significant role in providing energy for advanced technology. It is in an attempt to build a better world and boost economic growth that this idea has been formulated and developed.
Problem statement
This study is motivated by the need to establish an advanced smart building that can be accessed by people of all ages, needs, social statuses, amongst other aspects of humanity by utilizing clean energy to support the technology involved.
Objectives
To develop an architecturally advanced structure that highly utilizes modern technology. To establish a friendly business environment for people from all categories of life. To create a structure that poses as a user-friendly device developed to support all types of business while at the same time initiating advanced levels of technologically supported security. To develop a building that allows its owners to decide which parts would be permitted to communicate with each other sharing different types of information in regards to various aspects of life.
Strategies
To achieve various objectives for the project, the study would venture on diverse research perspectives from which various aspects of the project would be established. In addition to research, various consultations from different departments, including the energy departments, technology, sociology, and economics, would be made. These departments would help identify fallacies and misinterpretations that may occur in various sections of the project development, which may result from various assumptions and lack of sufficient knowledge regarding those areas. Furthermore, the study would be aimed at identifying various projects of the same kind that might have been established before to help understand challenges, success as well as mistakes that might have been encountered with during such projects.
Scope and limitations
This study covers a significant number of architectural concepts combined with technological advancements that interact with each other to achieve a wide range of solutions in the world of business as well as sociology (Filion, 2001). The environment in which the structure is to be constructed projects a considerable number of concepts brought together to enhance the effectiveness of the various aspects of the entire project. For instance, the environment has to provide distinctive climatic characteristics that would support the adequate lighting of the entire structure by using sunlight. In addition to the environment, the project also covers various aspects of the economy and sociology, which would be highly prioritized.
Such issues present an elevated need for research. The construction site ought to be secure enough and free from security hazards to enable for an unobstructed running of construction programs. Constructing such a structure requires constant transportation of people and construction materials. Such issues trigger both infrastructural and security concerns in any project. Therefore, this project needs to be carried out in an area whose infrastructure is considerably advanced (Pedersen, 2008. The research will also include a series of case studies carried out to identify various issues associated with related projects. Those issues may include the success of such projects and how competent their developers were able to maintain them and the bottlenecks they encountered in all processes involved. The case studies are also aimed at identifying the financial details recorded at the end of these types of projects and how the owners were able to manage them.
There are various limitations associated with these types of projects, and this one would most likely not be an exception. Some of the limitations associated with the research project are financially oriented. In other words, the level of technology involved in this project shall pose a significant financial challenge. Technology is growing at an incredibly fast rate resulting from the level of creativity exhibited amongst technology students and science at large (Rabianski, 2007). Due to the level of technology required for the project, there would need to establish the best technologies to be utilized at all levels of constructions.
Furthermore, the project would be aimed at utilizing renewable energy and projecting sunlight to various parts of the structures. However, due to dimensional issues, there are various parts of the building in which sunlight would not be able to reach. Sunlight will be enjoyed by a limited number of individuals whose positions would be geographically favoured. Also, the limited resources would require the owners of the building to share some of them, instigating various inconveniences amongst the members of the society interacting with the structure (Pedersen, 2008).
Thesis relevance and significance
Architecture is one of the best investment opportunities that can become very productive if other forms of technology are involved. There is a sense in which various developmental technologies are not brought together to help in the creation of better lifestyles and which would securely bring people together. Technology is also associated with environmental crises like global warming. This project would try to bring together a series of environmentally friendly energy sources and technologies, which in turn would motivate people to develop better business environments.
Architecture plays a significant role in socio-economic development. However, sociology also plays a part in shaping and making advancement in our culture. The structure is carefully developed to incorporate culturally oriented aspects of humanity but at a technologically advanced level. For example, the ground floor incorporates several businesses, which includes a food cafe, which represents a social space in which individuals can connect while enjoying foods served through technology. The spaces provided for the customers would be technologically adjusted to accommodate various groups of people depending on the size of the groups.
The spaces architecturally allocated for every aspect of the building, including shelves and chairs, are constructed to technologically adjust to the sizes required by any person or group of people. The cafe walls are to be designed to adhere to various themes depending on the social events as per the calendars. For example, during the Halloween season, the wallpapers would be adjusted to incorporate scary images. Such plans are meant to ensure that there is cultural compensation by considering cultural aspects celebrated over more significant demographics.
The different architectural systems would be developed to create economic advantages depending on the economic statuses of different individuals who would be interested in the spending time in this structure. The offices on the upper floors would be designed according to various economic factors. For example, the offices will have to be adjustable in size (Rabianski, 2007). The adjustments would be created to ensure that those corporations with the ability to pay more fees would receive better and larger customizable offices. The adjustments would also be available to organizations undergoing downsizing or any other process that requires lesser space. Other architectural advantages to the clients would involve storage facilities. These storage facilities would ensure that products like medicine from the pharmacy are always in their right conditions. This aspect applies to all clients with perishable products that require sufficient storage.
Assumptions
The project involves a significant number of ideas whose achievement can be challenging and sometimes considered unrealistic. For instance, the study operates under the assumption that all the resources that need to be utilized for the achievement of various goals would be readily available. Also, specialists needed to engage physically with various systems are not predetermined. The study also does not pre-establish its source of funding, which may call for some adjustments.
