The purpose of a theory is to explain data and if the theory is more complicated than the data explained, then the data is lawless. This notion is very applicable and relatable to the practice of Information technology and computer science. For instance, in solving real time problems, the programs, applications and systems created should be simple and easy to understand on the side of the user. That is the direction of computer science; solving complex problems in the simplest ways and solving simple problems in the most obvious ways. If someone is to look at the evolution of computer science, he/she will not fail to realize that the direction has been from simple to simpler and from simpler to simplest (Bultheel, 2017).
The more relatable and understandable a computer system or program is, the more efficient and useful. The direction of computer science is no longer the creation of complex algorithms and theories that only the creme de la creme of IQ would be able to digest and understand, but transforming the theories into a layman's capacity to understand and get rolling with it. That is the reason why there are lots of frameworks of website development such as wix, wordpress and many others, that makes it possible for anyone who has no idea about programming, to create his/her own website. Despite the fact that these frameworks do not solve all the problems associated with computer science, they play a big role in making the field of computer science relatable.
With the current age, the purpose of computer science and IT is to solve real time problems. For example, a file store can have all the files stored in a computer database for fast, easy and efficient retrieval at any time. That is the purpose of computer science, to make life better for anyone and everyone. Therefore, programmers, networking specialists and any other professional in the field of computer science should be thinking of the best way to make programs, programming languages and any other resource as simple as possible. This is because, the success of any program is not measured by how fancy and complicated it is but by the number of people who can get a grip of it and the amount of problems it can solve in the simplest way. Computing is quite different from mathematics and science because the essence of computing is the production of results and not theorems and predictions for observations as is with mathematics and physics, respectively (Farmelo, 2014). Therefore, so long as a computer program outputs the right result, it is good to go with. However, it is important to understand that computer science does not operate in isolation. It needs the support of both the science and mathematics.
Therefore, the future of computer science is linked to the evolution process of mathematics and science. For instance, to create a program that computes results of a problem that needs the utilization of a mathematical formula, the formula will have to be fed on the program to compute the right results, dependent on the formula. Therefore, unless the accuracy of mathematical formulas and scientific theories are improved, the future of computing will not change. That is because of the simple reason that computer science makes work easier in partnership with both the science and mathematics. In light of simplicity, computer science is driven towards that direction.
