This statement is even confirmed by author Ryan when he said: "the obstacle is the way."In every philosophical premise, this is the only way. In life, everyone at some point has been having been judged at some end. Some judgments can be hurtful and some unfair. However, most people bend backward to avoid being ruled either due to their best of interest or because of a specific situation. The bible even states that "Judge not for you not to be judged." Based on this verse, God wanted to emphasize that the same way we will judge others is the same way he will judge us.

In "Young Goodman Brown" several occasions have shown how Goodman loved judging people. The first one seen is when he met with the old man in the forest and assumed that he was the devil (Nathaniel 34). This shows that Goodman judged the old man based on his appearance because he had a serpent-like a look with gloominess from the forest. As a result, the old man clouded Goodman's judgment and made him believe that he was evil. The first impression encountered between the old man and Goodman was Goody Cloyse (Nathaniel 66).

In this statement, it shows that Goodman expected to be alone in the woods. This is because in his younger days she had been taught catechism. The incident also made him doubt his faith because he noticed that not everyone is as innocent as they look. The idea also made the old man think that Goodman had chosen to take evil ways. Later Goodman rejoices after rethinking and delved into the judgment that even Deacon Gookin and the ministers are both sinners (Nathaniel 74). This not only made Goodman revive his faith but also caused him to be overtaken by evil thoughts.

He even begins to believe that the only thing he thought of was that the world is evil. Even though Goodman lost himself, he also fell from his faith due to his judgmental ways when he had the assumption that since everyone around him is evil, he must also be evil. In the 'Good Man is Hard to Find,' the grandmother thinks of nothing else except herself. She also looks down on those around her including her children to the point that she does like it when her grandchildren talk where they stay in Georgia (Connor 72). According to her, she believes that she is too proud of where she came from.

This feeling made her pass her thoughts in a way that they have to be per what she wants. Goodman went to the extent of looking down to the poor. She never paid attention to how the black children lived without the basic needs. Goodman never showed any sign of compassion even after seeing the poor living condition of the children but somewhat looked down on them. She also reached a point of uttering jokes to create a good picture of her. In life, it is always not right to judge the homeless and the poor by not thinking of their situation and what it has done to their lives.

In Connor's book, it's evident that the grandmother was very judgmental when she said: "even though I may not be a good man, am not the worst either." While this statement lacks the morals of humility and not money, the home of any person is vital. This misfit also eludes that it is wise when one embraces their moral code when they understand the meanness it gives people they are despised. Connor even recognizes that he made a mistake by committing himself and being remorseful also if he still sees that his grandmother lacked the morals of his views (Connor 87). He also added that her grandmother could be a good woman if she never came across people that kept on threatening her life.

Both stories show that there is a danger when one becomes too judgmental. In 'Young Goodman Brown,' the author elaborates how an individual can lose themselves by judging others. It is also clear that when a person is too critical with their environment, they can lose the good things life has to offer. 'A good man is Hard to Find' on the other hand eludes how a person can find themselves in a situation where money does not make someone a good individual.

The author tried to show that it's not all about money but having the compassion of treating those that don't have cash with respect (Connor 84). The misfit here is that is is good to have moral codes even though someone becomes a criminal. But the book shows that the grandmother was not the right person because of how she looked down to everyone around her.

Judging people is not right, and everyone should treat others with care, love, and respect. In life, no one loves to be ruled, and so many people find ways of avoiding situations that may make them judge people.
