Introduction
People create blogs basically for business purposes. Making a blog allows an individual to develop relevant content for his customers. Now that most things are technology-oriented, some business people decide to sell online so that they can reach a bigger market. For one to reach an international market, one needs to be well known to its customers, which is a process, and blogs help speed up the process. Blogs help drive traffic to an individual's webpage and increase their search engine optimization, which will help one's website have a higher chance of appearing in the search engines. When people create blog posts for marketing, they all have different ideas in mind. The way one creates their blog posts will determine if most people will be impressed and convinced by it or not. This document will analyze one of the many examples of a blog marketing post.
I will take my example from another blog page called unbounce. Unbounce is an official blog by Unbounce. The blog helps marketers generate, change, integrate, and improve landing pages. So basically, other bloggers post on this page to market their business. The blog post example is selling a children's hospital. The blog has a picture of a young boy in a batman suit with his hands resting on his waist.
At the top of the page, the title in red, "keep the ones you love closet your heart." The next statement just below the title is "Join us for the Family $ Safety Fest." The post then gives what am guessing is the name of the children's hospital and a schedule of a specific day event, maybe. It also has a long list of details to fill in before a person clicks the register button. The page has a kid with a teddy bear that is thinking visitation of the teddy bear clinic and bringing of one's favorite stuffed animal for a check-up at the teddy bear clinic. It continues by asking kids to dress as their favorite superhero. We are informed that there is fun for the whole family and provided safety. At the end of the page is a list of activities that are to be carried out.
At the top of the page, the title is not that clear. The second title, which is the subtitle, is a bit clear and so much related to the nature of a hospital. Also, the list provided to be filled in is too long and too many unnecessary details to be filled in just for showing up in the hospital. The aim of the page is not precise; a person can't tell whether it is a hospital for children or an event blog that organizes children's events. Concerning the event, they have not stated the exact purpose of the event and how it is related to hospital activities. The function lacks an emotional feeling that will get people convinced to attend or at least pursue you as a friendly person.
The writer of the post should make it clear to the readers the purpose of his blog. A blog that is too long yet unclear is annoying to keep an individual engaged. It also makes the customers think you are not qualified or confident enough with the services or products you are offering. The customers will find it difficult to trust you. The blogger should reduce the list up to the number of necessary details to be filled; I would recommend the name, phone number, and maybe home address. Before a person makes a blog, they should research it first and look for a good title for the blog too. A touchy title that is relevant is the best.
