Moral crossroad has been experienced in Russia. Dealing with a bribe in Russia has three alternatives which are maintaining the business, as usual, ending all the companies or maintaining of business as usual without paying the bribe. Every business person needs to decide on carrying out their operations, whether a citizen or not (OCCRP, 2019). I tend to agree with my classmate's decision of maintaining the business as usual and paying of bribe to the Russian government. Operating companies in a country that is not your ethnic at times are challenging.

Continuation of business and paying of bribe to the Russian government is a form of showing acceptance to the culture and the rules of business, disobeying these rules will mean that there will be a collision with the government and the entrepreneurs in times without number (Ardichvili, 2017). Any business person is required to follow the rules and regulations of the host country. The anti-corruption and bribery rules do not govern Russia.

I tend to disagree with the idea of the area manager going to inform the supervisor about the bribe about to be given since bribery is the order of the day in Russia. Not paying bribe would result in various challenges to the business person, some of which would include expulsion from Russia. I find it interesting when my friend posted that having an understanding of the issue that may cause conflicts between the government and entrepreneurs in Russia is essential. No countries aspects are superior to others despite some cultures seeming to be illegal and shocking. There is a need to instill policies and communications to make sure firms are operating in the intended speed and direction. My classmate post was reasonable and consistent with experts in the field of entrepreneurship.

The second post of my colleague was about Moffitt: Global Business Ethics. Global business ethics is a reflection of the VP oversight; the arguments were logical and articulate. For instance, the idea of recommending all documents that state the ethical codes and other policies to be gathered seems essential when conducting business. One of the five factors to be considered in global relation is the cultural factor (Dereaky, 2019). After carrying out the policy review, my classmate recommends having a better understanding of the relationship and cultures that are associated with business operations in Russia.

According to my classmate, beginning the operation with prayer makes the actions calmer. My favorite part of my classmate post was the claim that conducting business in Russia is dangerous. Despite these, there is a need to converse with the purchasing manager to reiterate the policies to clarify that this rigged bidding is not part of the values and ethics of the company. This instance is a dilemma, and with the development of technology and globalization, there will; be an increase in cases of rigging deals ( Boatright, 2000). In conclusion, my classmate posts were articulate and; logic concerning bribery in Russia. Their facts were correct since the anti-corruption laws do not govern Russia and this affects businesses significantly.
