The source covers the topic of the attitude that the public has towards gay marriage. The article examines the trend in attitudes toward gay marriage. It is imperative to note that the attitude has changed over time which means that there has been liberalization of attitudes towards the whole topic of gay marriage. Many people have changed their attitudes and now we have more people who are supporting the issue of gay marriage. According to this article majority of the people changed their attitudes due to intracohort change effect and this may have been due to the use of the equality enclosing of homosexual marriage that convinced a lot of people who were against the marriages. This source is important as it will form the basis of support of whether it is time to allow same-sex marriages in public. It will form the basis of support especially with the change in attitudes by the public towards homosexual marriages.

From the study carried we can see that women and younger people support gay marriage more as compared to men and older people. Many people still view homosexuality as morally wrong although there has been a growing majority who want gay and lesbians not to be restricted. This means there has been liberalization and that people might not view gay marriages as something that should be restricted. This source is important as it also brings to the table issues on accepting gay marriages by the public. It is imperative to note that there has been liberalization of opinions especially after the decriminalization of homosexuality. This means that there has been growing public support for homosexuals. The general argument here is that there has been growing support toward gay marriages hence the need to accept them. The source will be important as it will support the issue of why homosexuals' marriage should be allowed.
