Introduction

Health plays a significant role in determining the economic growth of any country. When people are healthy, they tend to work more efficiently and thus leading to a profound increase in the economy of countries, for instance, the developing Nations (Bedir, 2016). This is because the burden of illnesses poses a detrimental impact on a personal and at a national level in low-income countries leading to the escalated poverty level. As a result, it affects the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of such Nations since diseases often compromise the cognitive function and the ability of an individual to work hard (Bloom, Kuhn & Prettner, 2018). The proceedings sections will discuss the objectives of the study, the methodology that will be adopted during the research, and a conclusion.

Literature Review

There exists an array of arguments of whether health poses a substantial impact on the growth of the economy in countries, particularly the developing Nations. As affirmed by Bloom et al. (2018), individuals who're health is jeopardized tend to underperform in their day-to-day work activities. As a result, they become unproductive, thus reducing the growth of their country's economy. On the other hand, healthier individuals are often productive, and they can work for many hours hence; boosting the economy of their country (Bedir, 2016). Besides, individuals with huge wages are capable of paying their bills in hospitals, unlike those with low pay thus; such people significantly contribute to escalated economic growth. However, Atilgan, Kilic, and Ertugrul (2017) stated that health and the wages of individuals do not have any impact on per capita income, which would have affected the economic growth of countries.

Research Methodology

This study will adopt an empirical framework as a significant research approach. According to Patten and Newhart (2017), empirical research is a type of research that uses empirical evidence to gain acquaintances either through people's experiences, direct or indirect observation, and use of secondary sources, which served as the primary data collection tools. The empirical evidence of how health substantially affects the economic growth of Nations will be analyzed using both quantitative and qualitative as a research design. The key subjects to be put under consideration are the rate at which health is affected by the production and wages and the way it impacts the economy of a country. Another critical subject is health at the individual level and the manner in which it affects the productivity of a Nation. Other key areas will be the aspect of health indicators such as adult survival rate and how it is related to productivity, which poses its impacts economic wise. Estimating the return, particularly to wellbeing using historical data, is the final technique that will be used in this study is estimating the effects of health on economic growth.

Conclusion

In summary, the health of individuals in a country plays a pivotal in the determination of a country rate of economic growth. This is because sicknesses that often compromise the health of people reduce the productivity urge of individuals to work hard hence reducing their per capita income. A s a result; it poses a severe menace in the economy of their country since they tend to contribute little. The researcher adopted an empirical framework as the primary approach that will be used in the research. Both qualitative and quantitative research design will be utilized in analyzing the anticipated data collected.
