Introduction
The College of Communication & Information offers various courses such as Advertisement & Public Relations, Communication Studies, Information Sciences, and Journalism, among other studies. The faculty in CCI plays a significant role in ensuring the day to day activities within the institution run smoothly with minimum or no hitches. Sally McMillan is among the members of the Faculty who has achieved a milestone in her career. This work offers an extensive description of the understanding of Sally McMillan. The work gives an elaboration of the faculty member's paradigms, their research interests, and the methodologies. This work also offers a discussion of the findings of her two articles are Cross-Campus Partnerships for Developing/Continuous Improving Student Success Programs which she co-authored with Sally J, Adams, Betsy and Curry, D. together with Typology of Online Brand Communities: An Examination of South Korean Automobile Online Brand Communities she co-authored with Park, J and Sally, J.
Sally, as a faculty member, is the Interim Director for the School of Advertising and Public Relations. She is also a professor in the institution. The research interests by Sally McMillan revolve around the impact of technologies on people, society or firms. She examines the factors which determine the success of students who hail from diverse backgrounds. Also, McMillan examines the different ways used to communicate health with people who are underserved when it comes to health. The first article to be considered is Cross-Campus Partnerships for Developing/Continuous Improving Student Success Programs which she co-authored with Sally J, Adams Betsy. and Curry, D. The work aimed at ensuring a campus recruiter and retained a student until they graduated. The data selected a group of individuals from twenty-five universities. The approaches used were team-based. There was also a one-stop approach which allowed the student to access financial and registrar services. The group contacted a total of 345 leaners, and 102 students left their parents on voice mail, 86 individuals gave the wrong number, sixty students transferred, and thirty indicated they would not register, 29 couldn't leave a feedback fourteen temporary & permanent learners, and 8 were others. The retention of the students was based on the satisfaction of the students, preservation of the students and efficiency by the staff (Sally et.al 2014).
The second article is Typology of Online Brand Communities: An Examination of South Korean Automobile Online Brand Communities she co-authored with Park, J and Sally, J. The article explores the structure and operation of South Korean Automobile Online Brand Communities. The methods used to offer analysis was content method analysis. The search engine popular in South Korea was naver.com which allowed the researchers to select the sample of the South Korean Automobile Online Brand Communities. The findings of the research were that most individuals were socially-oriented. The following group was the communication-oriented people and those who were information oriented. Last on the group were the business-oriented communities of the South Korean Automobile Online Brand Communities. The South Korean Automobile Online Brand Communities were selected based on the community members, staff and duration of the community (Park, & Mcmillan, 2015).
Conclusion
Therefore, the findings of this work show McMillan is an exemplary researcher whose desire is to offer a positive impact on the life of the learners proven through her work. Hence, the College boasts world-class tutors who have shown to have the knowledge required to provide the best to the students.
