Introduction
The office of President Obama has posed a challenge for the ruling party to go ahead and do all that they can to replace the Obamacare, with whatever program they think will work better than the current program on healthcare (Barrilleaux, & Rainey, 2014). However, due to lack of a better plan in place, it is true that the efforts by the Republicans have remained to a challenging issue. It is important that the current regime come up with better plans and goals that will work before making efforts to replace the current plan. Lack of better health care plan is the major reason although the effort by the Republican Party to repeal off the Obamacare all efforts has remains to be unsuccessful.
The Republican has sworn not only to replace some of the essential parts of the program but to away with the entire plan that seems to be not useful to the public and instead add more pressure to the public (Fitzgerald, 2017). Most of the Republican Party has termed the Obama care to be unrealistic, and with all those efforts, their strategies have all failed to work better. The ambitious plans by most members of the Republican went ahead to cause division amongst them without yielding a fruitful result (Barrilleaux, & Rainey, 2014). Additionally, passing a replacement or a repeal motion against Obamacare is relatively difficult given that the existing system within the United States is more of the conservative's policies. Most of the plans by the Republicans were relatively odd with most of the promises that they made in line with the healthcare and medication campaigns.
Republicans Efforts to Take off Benefits Associated with the Obamacare is Relatively Impossible
Despite the challenges and the debates against Obamacare, the fact remains that it has certain benefits that some of the public have derived from the services. For instance, the Republicans have a fear of the type of reaction especially from those who have benefited from the Obamacare especially when the government decides to take away such service from them (Kliff, 2017). Besides, most of the senates and the republican's lawmakers did not want to interfere or roll back the efforts associated with the Affordable Care Act. At some point, most of the Senates from the Republicans side have gone further to oppose the possible efforts to repeal the plan.
Simply doing away with all the efforts that Obamacare has come up with could not be as easy as that given that it has better stronger support (Lanford, & Quadagno, 2016). For instance, Senator Collins made his statement clear to the public when he told other members of the Senate that he was not ready and never going to support a bill that is going to deny the public numerous healthcare benefits from the insurance policy they have managed to secure since the introduction of the Obamacare (Kliff, 2017). Disunited state of affairs has never made the plan to be that successful. Alaska, for instance, is a state that has a higher number of individuals who are experiencing a higher level of healthcare challenges. Alaska state has gone further to expand Medicaid services within the citizen as a way of improving medical service, and most of the public have gone ahead to register for the service and efforts to deny them such rights would be unsuccessful.
Efforts to Repeal Obamacare Remains a Challenge Given that Obamacare is Working Already
Most of the Republicans who are also the strong opposition to the Affordable Care Act reason being that the act poses a massive burden to its enrollee. However, results show that most of the beneficiaries of the Affordable Care Act have never complained but have stood openly to praise the good side of the act saying that it has helped in the positive transformation of the medical sector (Rogers, 2017). As many people continue to complain and to hold the debate over the possible efforts to repeal the act, most of the beneficiaries to the act continue to enjoy the numerous privileges associated with the Obamacare. Besides, many of the beneficiaries to the Obamacare besides of complaining that the deductible being high and doctors limited, they still can stand strong to defend the current system of the Obamacare as compared to the previous system.
Additionally, most of the enrollees to the Affordable Care Act have rated the service to be good and excellent as compared to only eight percent who have the different opinion based on the nature of service that they receive (Rogers, 2017). Approximately nineteen counties with zero related health plan have gone ahead to sign up for the service on Medicaid healthcare. The system on Obamacare even though it seems not that perfect as many people would say, but is preferable that the previous medical plans that had a lot of associated challenges. Besides, even though most of the enrollees to the Obama care supported Trump's administration, at the other hand, the same administration has never come up with other better solution that would work to replace the Obamacare and will benefit the public.
Passing Bill by the Republicans in Secret is Tempting is But will not Work
The House of Republicans at some point have attempted to forces rush meetings with the Senate's not bothering. The original senate-repeal and replace bill was drafted and negotiated but was never successful following the numerous associated challenges to the Bill. Passing a bill without holding a single hearing or even seeking public opinion would be so discomfort and discouraging or even unacceptable. The divisive politics and states of and republican's political affairs were other better reason behind the unsuccessful attempts to repeal the Obamacare plan and part of the constitution that supports the program (Shor, 2018). It was going to be constitutional right if the Republicans and those who were anti-Obamacare plan send the bill to the house for hearing before seeking the opinion of the members of the public on the way possible.
Reasons Why Republicans Bent to Repeal Obamacare
Big Tax-Cut for the Rich Individuals
One of the major reason that the Republicans have every strategy to ensure that they repeal Obamacare is the fact that the ACA tends to put a bit of threat regarding tax that the rich people give and families pay regarding tax coverage (Shor, 2018). Ideology, Party, and Opinion: Explaining Individual Legislator ACA Implementation Votes in the States. State Politics & Policy Quarterly. By repealing ACA, it will be relative relief to the rich individuals without putting into consideration of the many poor citizens. It is important that the current ruling party to understand that Obamacare is somehow like a three-legged stool. In the first place, it seeks to inform the many insurance companies that they have no reason to discriminate the sick but poor citizens.
In the second place, the program on Obamacare seek to inform the public that they have every reason to purchase the insurance coverage without necessarily waiting until they are sick before they could purchase the insurance coverage or even to pay a given penalty. Thirdly, the Affordable Care Act seeks to help individuals who are unable to afford a good healthcare plan to have an easy time doing so without necessarily going extra miles to make that happen. It is important to note that; based on the above strategy it is true that Obamacare will have to raise a huge of money at the top and the sometimes-offering subsidies at the bottom.
Need for Political Supremacy
Another reason why the Republicans are so keen in ensuring that they do away with Obamacare is to work towards fulfilling most of their promises that they make during the campaigning periods (Fitzgerald, 2017). Members of the Republican Party would like do away with the existing ideology that political leaders would always prefer elected and after their election; they never come back despite the many promises that they make to the public. Based on the many promises by the current regime, it works towards keeping its manifesto to the public regardless of the possible consequences of their action. Besides, the current government and its leadership seek to enhance its level of political supremacy without regarding the needs of the poor public who rely on quality healthcare to remain alive (Fitzgerald, 2017). Many of the opposition to Obamacare also believe that the program has not managed to keep most of its promises or key objectives to the citizens.
Efforts Used by the Current Regime of President Trump to Suppress and Show Disregard to Obamacare
Efforts by activist and members of the Republican Party to repeal Obama care have been unsuccessful. The current regime led by President Trump has come up with several efforts and strategies to ensure that his plan and that of his party to repeal Obamacare becoming successful (Kliff, 2017). Some of the strategies by the current regime to repeal and to do away with this part of the constitution include slashing of the grant that supports the ACA navigators and the finance that supports the project from approximately $62.5 to approximately $36million (Fitzgerald, 2017). Besides, President Trump has ensured that he can cut the advertisement costs that seek to help enhance public awareness on the nature of services that the program seeks to give to the public and to help promote enrollment to the ACA. The current president has come in public to make it clear that most of his effort seek to sabotage the services associated with Obamacare.
The other strategy by the current regime to ensure that it opposes the ACA is by President Trump announcing that he has a good plan in place that will ensure that he ends the subsidies to the insurers to the Obamacare by approximately seven billion per year. Such sentiments have not been good to the subscribers of the ACA that has resulted in a huge reduction of the number of individuals enrolling to benefit from the above services on affordable healthcare act. Additionally, the current regime has gone ahead to introduce a system in which individuals who pays for the insurance cover should also pay for the fine. Despite the efforts being somehow friendly to some consumers, at the other hand, it seeks to discourage the insurance company who instead will have minimal income as their gain from the insurance service and policies that they offer to the public.
Similarly, the other effort by the President himself to suppress the efforts of the Obamacare is by rolling out final rules that allow the public and other institutions to open doors to other associations and other related health plans. The plans also seek to allow individual business and organizations to buy insurance or come up with other ways that will make outdoor efforts by the ACA plans and policies (Fitzgerald, 2017). Individuals and members of the public can access services such as maternity care services, prescription of drugs, and other health-related benefits. During that, time, Trump was able to advise the public that they could save a lot of their money and even have better healthcare plans the moment they do away with the ACA.
Trump's administration has also issued new rules on insurance coverage and policies that seek to give people a chance to go for a short term insurance policy that does not necessarily cover the preexisting conditions and might not augur well with the terms and conditions of the Obamacare plans. Most of the Republicans who are for the support of the Trumps efforts argue that the short-term insurance plan will give the public better option of acquiring better m...
