Introduction

Background

The topic which I have suggested is especially to the students because they are the generation of today influencing tomorrow. Today's base is tomorrows building. With a strong foundation, the future will be strong and positive. Science and technology have given a lot of positive outcomes. Like in medicine certain incurable disease of past is easily curable for example tuberculosis. If we look around us there, we find there are new types of health problems erupting, new types of sickness are reported. Some of them are curable, and for some disease's researchers, don't know the reason and its cure is still not found out.

These are usually the outcome of modern technology, the uses of the thermal coal, plastics below a permissible micron, biodegradable materials, use of petrol and petrochemicals, and artificial fertilizers, are some of the main causes that in general affecting human life. The air is polluted, resulting in respiratory disorders; Modern gadgets have glued children to it. Lack of physical activities results in obesity; fast and tasty foods have replaced traditional grandma's recipes. The use of plastics, aluminum thermo-coal, and non-biodegradable materials are producing a lot of waste materials, most of the countries are facing problems with the dumping and disposing of this waste product; if it is not properly disposed of it is hazardous to the human health and environment.

Purpose of the topic is to make people aware of the adverse condition and encourage them to use biodegradable substances as far as possible. Recycle the waste material means it keeps waste out of landfills. The landfill is a lined hole in the ground where solid waste is deposited and covered with soil these buried waste get decomposed on its own and gets compressed due to its own weight. This way a large portion of land is saved for cultivation. On the other hand, materials such as glass and papers are recycled and processed into new material. By recycling, we save energy consumption; as a result, the cost of production reduces because it is not something new getting produced from natural raw materials. Points to be used to develop argument are; first of all, human and animal health is badly getting affected due to excessive use of harmful materials. The environment is getting polluted. Too much of modern technology has reduced physical activities in children. Cutting down of forest has to be restricted as they are the source of natural resources and inhabits many species of animals and birds. They are the rich source of precious metals. By helping and taking right step at the right time soil and environment can be saved from turning to poison.

Scope

Waste management can be defined as all the actions and activities required or adopted in order to manage waste from the inception process up to the final disposal. This may include the collection of waste, transportation of the waste, disposition of the waste as well as the monitoring and regulation of the whole waste management process. Waste appears in different forms such as the gaseous, solid or liquid forms which each has different methods of disposal and management. Our company mainly deals with recycling of waste as an approach to going green and we make individuals in the public aware of many different forms of recycling different waste products in order to protect our environment.

Recycling is the process of resource recovery whereby waste material is collected and used for other purposes or reused once more, such waste may include the disposed of empty beverage containers. The materials through which these items are made can once more be reprocessed to form or produce new products. Through collection vehicles as well as dedicated bins, these materials for recycling can be collected separately from the general waste, a procedure that is known as kerbside collection. In some communities, the waste material owner is required to do the separation in different bins such that he/she separates metals from paper and plastics prior to its collection. In most communities all over the globe, all the waste is placed in a single bin which after collection, the sorting is done later in a central facility a method is commonly known as single-stream recycling. Recycling can be classified as waste management as well as natural resource protection initiatives due to its positive effects on the environment as a whole (Ahmad, 2015).

The most common waste products that are recycled include the old steel equipment or furnishings, copper such as wire, glass jars and bottles, aluminum such as the beverage cans, corrugated fiberboard boxes, steel from aerosol and food cans, paperboard cartons, rubber tyres, magazines, PET bottles, light paper, polythene, and newspapers. Others include the polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polypropylene (PP), low-density polyethylene (LDPE), and polystyrene (PS), these materials are usually made up of single type material hence making them be easily recyclable into new products (Archer, 2016). Different type of materials is accepted in different counties and cities for recycling and therefore each country and city have different recycling projects in place which handles different types of recyclable materials. In July 2017, import of twenty-four categories of solid waste and recyclables such as mixed paper, plastic as well as textiles was banned by the Chinese government placing a tremendous impact on developed nations who directly or indirectly exported these products to China (Moloney, & Strengers, 2014).

Statement of the Problem

It has come to our attention that today our environment is being polluted at a faster rate than anyone would expect this can be due to the change in the production process, increased population with no alternative options to control their waste disposal, increased knowledge among the public as well as increased technology. As a matter of fact, these are issues that should be looked into at a different angle to ensure pollution as a result of these factors is put into control which can be possible through a joint effort by all nations, governments, businesses and the general public as a whole. Our company decided to mainly focus on the issues of environmental conservation in order to protect our future generations from the negative impacts of pollution and to ensure sustainability, we decided to start the green program whose main purpose is to conserve the environment and to set a clear path through which the others can follow and together we can ensure a clean environment.

Discussions

We intend to start this project in Joppa city and later expand it to the best parts of the country. The Eco-friendly organization has the vision to ensure that it has introduced the going green program throughout the country by the year 2030. This program has several concepts that we plan to implement but we are going to start with the recycling, garbage collection and creating awareness on the importance of proper waste disposal and management to people of Joppa town. Our company is popular in different countries mainly because we have launched many going green programs in these countries, an example is a country like Morocco, Sydney, Malawi, Mali, Australia, United Arab Emirates and many more. We have also worked with different non-governmental organizations who are mainly focused on protecting the environment across the globe. In the public view, most people will accredit us to be good for the task of leading them to conserve our environment.

Importance of the Environment

It's important for people to understand the environment, the benefits that it provides and the importance of conserving it. Basically, the environment is the surrounding of all living as well as non-living things and the need to protect it comes as a result of its importance. The environment helps us in staying healthy as well as healing us. This is because most medicines that we consume when we get sick are derived from living organisms as well as other elements of the environment. Also, at times clean and fresh air as well as exposure to sunlight helps in making a difference in how individuals feel. Through science and technology, the environment educates by studying and observation of products as well as using biological, physical and chemical procedures and the world around us to study these products.

The environment satisfies humans when it is used to practice arts, apply sciences as well as recreate.
