Introduction
Quebec immigration applicants use two different processes to get approved, which include:- admission and selection. Access takes place at the national stages, whereas selection follows at the provincial levels. However, an applicant should meet the given requirements for admission and selection for them to immigrate to Quebec. A foreigner within Quebec's province must obtain a selection certificate known as Quebec Selection Certificate (CSQ) before applying for permanent Citizenship in Canada(Paquet, 2020). Also, Quebec's responsibility is to select workers who desire to settle in Quebec, whereas Canada must admit individuals who aspire to settle in the country.
Quebec applies fixed measures as an exercise of power selection that it creates on its own established immigration goals; however, the Canadian government admits only the experienced employee applicants previously selected by Quebec and welcomes to Quebec. The chosen applicant must also pass a medical check, needed security checks, and apply for a permanent occupant. The government of Quebec issues CSQ to the selected applicants; however, an applicant with health risks, excessive demand on social and health services cannot apply for a permanent residence even if the applicant has attained a CSQ. The only workers who are admitted by the Canadian government are the skilled labor candidates selected by Quebec.
Submission
The Canadian government has control over the final admission of the applicants. As a skilled worker, after attaining the CSQ, you must provide an application for a permanent stay to Canada's centralized intake office, which is located in Sidney, Nova Scotia. The Canadian government will also perform a security check and evaluate the applicant's medical records, including those of their family members(Béchard, 2018). After reviewing all the stated above documents, you will be issued a permanent Visa by the Canadian government to meet all the requirements. However, as soon as you have lived for more than three years in Quebec, you can apply to Canada through the Canadian government.
Quebec experience program(PEQ) of a Quebec graduate is a program that applies when employed full time in Quebec. It has gained a qualified Quebec diploma and has at least 18 months or 12months of working on a full-time basis. Also, it would help if you have a progressive intermediate understanding of vocal French.
Conditions
An applicant should meet all the requirements of the Quebec Experience Program -PEQ )after applying endless selection that includes;- Having an appropriate Quebec diploma, Intention to hold a job and settle in Quebec, Having at least lived in Quebec for half the period of your study program, and has gained a full-time work for at least 12 months, having respected the situations of your stay in Quebec.
Conclusion
A skilled foreign worker hired by a Quebec- based employer on a short-term labor permit must have the CAQ and a labor market impact assessment(LMIA). Most of the persons who wish to study in Quebec must first gain a CAQ before obtaining the Canada study permit through application to the Canadian government's immigration authorities (Boudarbat & Grenier, 2017). However, jobs that last for 30 days or less in Quebec do not need this certificate.
Individuals whose jobs are LMIA exempt do not need a CAQ to perform work in Quebec. Certain persons may exempt the need for CAQ until they apply for a study permit. Alternatively, individuals to study six months or less do not need a study permit or a CAQ.
