Introduction

I want to describe the Project BUILD and the Allegheny County jail-based program. These programs were made aiming to change offenders from prison as they come back to society. The project BUILD majorly prevents ferocity, and it is intended to help young people who are imprisoned. The program seeks to address problems such as gangs, fierceness, misconduct, as well as misuse of drugs (Anderson, 2019). A curriculum is organized on youths this school at list thrice per week. More so, some groups are made by the managers to the school. The categories were made based on the present age of the offender; the age one was arrested as well as the number of offenses one committed there before. These played an important role in determining the probability of an individual to repeat an offense (Silva, 2019). It guided the administrators to assess the urgency of attention a particular person needs in to prevent him or her from repeating the committed crime.

Nevertheless, it is not every person who is in the above categories. Other people are in on drug abuse (Zeng, 2018). Therapy is conducted on such individuals who have been useful as a result of the positive changes observed in the individuals.

All these programs are effective since positive changes are observed on individuals who pass through the applications. Individuals who pass through these programs end up being helpful to society. This is because they are imparted skills, knowledge as well as attitudes to stop their evil ways. More so, these individuals end up becoming entrepreneurs and useful to society.

In my view, these programs should be supported by the government as well as wishers. Moreover, other related applications should be introduced. This is because these programs are bringing positive changes in the society, by transforming the offender to be productive and useful people in the community.

The most successful program is the project BUILD program. This is because the plan goes ahead to sort issues to do with the promotion of Thinking skills as well as reasoning ability. More so, the program is purposed to reduce cases of repeating the committed crimes by changing the individuals thinking ability by tackling topics such as elastic rational, standards as well as moral reasoning. This program should be funded and supported to ensure the smooth running of its activities.
