Introduction
The 'process of philosophy' model is derived from human experience and beliefs that emanate from cultural and historical periods. It explains how philosophical traditions can change as compared to a human being who is never changing. It further extends to institutions such as politics to examine problems that human beings experience in society, hence, the people's nature and reality of problems in the United States can be explained from many categories. Most of them are anchored from the world view and real-life factors that influence human society. There are a number of facets that the process of philosophy has impacted in the United States, for instance, economics, education, marriage, and family, among others. However, the focus of this paper is to investigate the relationship of philosophical facets in American society and how they impact family and marriage.
Wardle (2000), stated that dysfunctional families have created social problems in society. A good family structure will foster individual happiness and encourage social stability. The resulting is a fundamental block is a society, which according to philosophical facets has been marked throughout human history. Therefore, it is clear that the stability of the government depends on the stability of the family. Historically, the family has been considered as the circle of solving problems that are experienced in society.
Family and Marriage
In the context of family and marriage, the process of philosophy has advanced through the history of issues relating to how it has impacted American society (Peterson, 2013). One significant change happened in 1200AD, where the government in liaison with the clergy convened together and altered the canon of marriage by declaring it a ceremony among the Christian faithful's and that the bond developed between the couples should not be dissolved.
The process of philosophy has also had tremendous effects on family and marriage. Social theorists maintain that the sole purpose of life of a human being is to raise a family and develop sturdy societal bonds, guided by the doctrines of love, care, and respect. They further state the idea of marriage is at the center of life in human beings (Stroll, & Popkin, 2012). Customarily, family and marriages were viewed with high regards, and the historians state that the number of divorces was less. Nonetheless, as society advances with the inception of innovation and technology, America has witnessed an alarming rate of divorce cases, Social theorists argue out that the average time frame that couples spend in marriages is approximated to be five years (Stroll, & Popkin, 2012) The value of family has significantly reduced also as couples are no longer interested in siring children. However, what is sickening is that the ethical role of couples of childbearing has been commercialized and child option is rampant.
Conclusion
In conclusion, it is important to realize that the process of philosophy has significantly helped in shaping family and marriage in American society, with concrete emphasis on monetary and societal aspects. It also establishes the pattern of influence, which links to the historical period and at the same time solves problems that human experience in marriage and family. With the natural mandate that society is always changing, the concept of philosophy justifies the realities of human life and the reason as to why people are living similar to what happens in American society.
