By not planning to fail, it is then considered as preparing to fail. Hence an organized professor or teacher will be able to deliver the lesson within the given time frame. Therefore, with the additional time that the teacher saves, they can use that time to provide extra attention to the learners that require further assistance. Therefore, a lesson plan is a teacher guide on what the students need to learn, how they will be taught as well as how learning will be measured as a lesion plan. Therefore, is an essential tool for both the teacher and the students.
It is essential to make classroom planning because it assists the teachers in sustaining a uniform patterning standard of teaching, and this is important because as it ensures that the lesson does not deviate from the topic. The best tool a teacher can have is confidence, and a lesson plan helps the teacher to be better well equipped to answer all the questions posed by the students.
Creating a lesson plan cannot be done by one individual educator it takes collaboration of all staff working together to ensure that they offer quality education to the student. Therefore, the teachers come together at the end of the week to create and revisit the grade curriculum map (Mary, 2016). All the resources for the different units are therefore analyzed to determine which resources will be utilized for which subject or group. Additionally, all the teachers decide and develop a rubric that assesses the student's mastery p0f the course.
Technology plays a vital lesson, especially in collaboration. The use of technology gives the teachers direct assess, knowledge, and resources and experiences which can be effectively employed for the benefit of students. However, during the lesson plan, the teachers can make use of google drive to help in the lesson planning process. The resources can be uploaded in the google drive to different designated folders, and the entire teaching staff can have access to individual or team planning—additionally, all the meeting minutes and agendas and all the critical documents to the shared drive. The use of technology like google drive enhances collaboration as well as improve communication.
It is, however, essential to note that some of the students are fast learners than others. Therefore, the teachers are always looking for different ways to incorporate integrate project-based learning into the school curriculum. Additionally, they look for the various activities that these kinds of students can engage in, that can challenge them.
Apart from ensuring that the students understand the course, it is the purpose of the teacher to ensure that the course contents well as the learning objectives are adequately met. Therefore, there are various ways the teachers can ensure that this accomplished, including the creation of summative and formative assessments to assess the student's progress (Mary, 2016). Also, shared resources and the creation of strategies that are tailored to help the students who are lagging can be of significant impact in ensuring learning objectives are met.
All the teachers are supposed to ensure that they meet the predetermined state standards. However, it is essential to note that although these standards are crucial aspects of education, they can be very overwhelming (Myron, 2016). However, there are measures that the teacher's compliances with these standards, including taking time to reevaluate the teaching goals and the course objectives to ensure that they align with the rules.
The purpose of preparing and creating a lesson plan is to ensure that students have an engaging learning experience. Therefore, there is a range of strategies that educators can utilize to accomplish this, including providing that the learners have hands-on opportunities, and they can connect to their learning. Identifying things that are trending or current and incorporating them in the course materials keeps the student interested in their course materials.
It is important to note that for the overall success of the learning institution, the planning of the curriculum ought to be aligned to the overall school's mission and vision statement. Therefore, the teachers should find strategies such as the implementation of the based educational practices that align with the school vision and core values.
Reflection
My opinion is that it is vital to employ a typical planning time to develop a unit that is focused on grade-level essential standards. As part of the PSEL standard 4 it is the responsibility of school management to implement instructional units, curriculum, and assessment strategies as outlined in the Professional Standards for Educational Leaders. As a leader or the head of a learning institution i, therefore, believe that it is my responsibility to offer clear guidelines that highlight the assessment criteria to ensure that the student's expectations are met. Additionally, the leader needs to provide the necessary interventions that are aimed at ensuring that the student succeed.
As a leader is essential to remain actively involved in the planning process as it helps in the promotion of institutional practices that are consistent with understanding the way students learn and the different ways in which to promote authentic learning experiences as well as differentiate the different instruction for each student as specified in the PSEL standard 4. As a leader, providing my professional as well as expert insight on assessments and education without undermining the credibility of the teachers is very important as it helps in maintaining the high expectations for both learners and educators. Being available in the planning process would be one of my goals.
