Human Resource Management is a professional career of my choice. It is a type of management that highly concentrates on the human workforce and its effectiveness in the results. I am interested in Hman Resource as I have spent most of my life practicing it knowingly and unknowingly. Being firstborn, one has to exercise powers and responsibilities. Secondly, I was motivated in the career as I have been a leader in the previous school as a class archetypal. Managing other student's affairs and providing leadership gave me more admiration for a career that deals with human interaction and the provision of administration and guidance (Vondracek, Lerner & Schulenbeg, 2019). Management of resources is key to the growth of any establishment. But it is essential to manage well the individual who leads and controls the resources. Thus, where Human resource management comes in. Human Resource Management is the practice of ensuring maximum utilization of personnel in attaining the company goals and gains while satisfying the needs and goals of the taskforce.
To practice Human Resource, one has to have undergone college training or taken an undergraduate Human Resource course. Having Postgraduate documentation is an added advantage. Experience is a mandatory requirement in this career; at times, it may be hard for one to acquire the expertise before employment. Likely, the provision of an industrial attachment or internship program provides room for one to gain the much-needed experience. One can also volunteer in some industries to advance the expertise for the Human Resource Management job (Cascio, 2015). The job is well enumerated, depending on the job group one joins. Human resource officers and managers are well paid, and it is a stable job one can rely on. There are a job security and career development opportunity that comes along with the package.
Management is wide. For instance, we have financial management, departmental management, but to mention a few, but I settle on the management of human Resources as this interracial. Human Resource management calls on one to understand the different cultures of people. Getting to know the way people react to the situation, helping an individual to overcome personal challenges to avoid the own problems affecting the general performance of an establishment (Cascio, 2015). I am interested in managing and creating a high-level discipline environment, and with Human Resource, an opportunity is there wide open to exercise my point of interest. The field of Human Resource satisfies my interests in my career.
From the information gathered on my choice of career, I have learned that interest in one life should be concurrent with the course education. The systematic flow guides an individual on the specifics of personal strengths and weaknesses, and one should align himself to the set goals of the professionalism. Career growth expectations are in line with the education level and experience. The risks of workplace injuries and image stability are to be determined and acknowledged (Huangfu, Granzow, Gallagher & Schall, 2017). The need for one to secure himself in a professional body is mandatory. The membership will not only provide career development and security, but continuous training keeps one well informed.
Human Resource as a management career is comprehensive, open, but involving. The occupation may seem easy, but the trouble of understanding the different cultures of individuals and consolidating them too much the establishment culture is not that easy. The field calls for a high level of training, with the individual having an open mind to sudden change. One also needs to be positive and engaging. Human Resource is an excellent professional field
