Introduction
The existence and understanding of the world continues to draw attention among scholars, philosophers and scientific researchers. The existence of the world is a controversial topic that has attracted scientists to come up with assumptions pertinent to science, to religion and the relationship between the two fields. As such, the assumptions are used to guide the thinking behind the account of human evolution in the context of religion worldviews and scientific explanation of the human origin (Pigliucci 3). Two theories that distinctively explain the earth origin are evolution and creationism theories. While evolution seems as a common and widely accepted concept behind human and earth existence, creationism also receives proponents in scientific field who subscribe to the concept that the diversity of life and existence of earth can be derived from a supernatural power responsible. Therefore, with massive complexity observed in the living world, creationism is truly the only way a phenomenon improbable and beautiful could have aroused from a supernatural creator.
Basically, the common evolution theory explains existence of humanity through experimentation and scientific thinking. However, most science research in recent past and in history have shown inaccuracies that have occurred now and then making the ideology of evolution to be reconsidered again. Creationism on the other hand dwells on the information that the world is a resultant of a higher being created in a short amount of time (Kelly and Knirons 873). As such, humans have used it to explain how the earth was created thousands of years ago together with the inhabitants on it. This theory is in contradiction with evolution theory, which maintains that the universe and life on it can be traced back to a unicellular and single common derived from accumulation of scientific changes over a period of billion years along lineages. Creationism depends on ancient stories, symbols, and popular mythology mostly from religious books such as the Holy Bible and Quran.
Creationism receives much support across a section of modern scientists and biblical literalists who maintains that the world was created in its existing present form with no evolutionary change. The biblical literalists label this occurrence as special creation. According to Pennock (p.55), the creationism theory is supported by the idea that archaeology as a field falling under evolution is doubtful following a series of "missing links" and frauds that has marred the field. In scientific research, fraud and misapprehensions have recurred over the years asserting beyond reasonable doubt that evolution theory is untrue. However, creationism is supported by the Bible which never lies whereby in Genesis, it is documented that God created the heavens and the earth, an explanation which does not need weak fossil records to expound.
Creationist believe that some of scientific information documented fails to uphold the explanation using scientific theories documented in research books as evidence. One notable example of bias pointed out by creationist is the claim that dinosaurs co-existed with human beings as opposed to what science dictates. Creationism based on the bible insist that both humans and dinosaurs existed contemporaneously as explained through mythological records such as roles of dragons in myths (Pennock 6). Also, modern creationist claim that dinosaur tracks have been found alongside human footprints at Paluxy as well as fossilized hammer being found embedded in cretaceous rocks (Kelly and Knirons 873). As such, creationist have supported their claim by refuting that dinosaurs existed at a particular age of time but agree with the evolutionist scientists that they are only a part of fossil fuel that coexisted in same time with existence of human kind.
In support of creationism, creationist have done a thorough research on existence of the world by labelling it as an alternate scientific theory. To support this claim, they refute the claim that ancient human beings such as Neanderthals and Australopithecus evolved to become modern and upright human beings. To counter the argument, the creationism is supported by claims of anthropologists misinterpreting and misreading of fossils inaccurately combining the fossils of ape species with homo sapiens. As such, the proponents for creationism dismiss the existence of Neanderthals and insist that the remains were human beings (Pigliucci, 4). As such, anthropologists failed to conclude that the morphological differences can be explained as humans suffering from arthritis, rickets or simply disfigured humans. Therefore, from a creationist perspective, evolution of life from a unicellular being is one among other scientific claims by evolutionary scientists without evidence or with missing links to complete the puzzle of existence of the universe.
Conclusion
Conclusively, the complexity experienced in scientific theory of evolution fails to link the research and historical records to the origin and existence of life on earth. Whereas in creationism, much support is attributed to the faith and belief that creation is true. From a creationism perspective, it is evident that science is not the only way to acquire, learn and interpret information. Humans can also use other forms such as literature, religious experiences, and philosophical understanding to obtain a better comprehension of the world and its inhabitants. Therefore, creationism gains support and qualifies as a viable theory to explain existence of the universe whether it is through intelligent design or scientific creationism.
