Introduction
A change in organizational policy or practice guidelines is needed to address a shortfall in meeting a performance benchmark prescribed by applicable local, state, or federal health care laws or policies as expressed in the following highlights. First of all, the Altman hospital would be better as a healthcare institution if the policy is adjusted to meet some of the aspects that are pulling it behind presently. In point of fact, an improvement in performance is the first step that confirms that an organization is geared toward success. As it stands, not all employees perform their duties as expected by the administration. It is for this reason that the new policy framework is more than a needed requirement that the hospital should not miss. In the long run, the state, local as well as the federal health laws will be able to realize all the objectives that they anticipate. However, the policy should be implemented quickly enough to allow the administrators to check it for consistency and reliability ends.
Suffice it to say, the current benchmark for Altman hospital is that it can be used as a guiding framework for the other companies. It entails well-structured systems that can be emulated by the other institutions for their structures and institutions to be improved. At present, the numeric score for the company is average. The f fact that is presently rated at the average level does not necessarily mean that is worse than the others. However, it holds both desirable and undesirable traits that can either be copied or avoided entirely by the other institutions. The benchmark underperformance is affecting the quality of care being provided or the operations of the organization since the established organizational strategy does not warrant the organization to succeed in rather various endeavors such as assured success, potential growth in the future, and realization of the needs of its customers.
The potential repercussions of not making any changes would be the company eventually failing to meet any needs and requirements of the customers. Also, such a finally would see the company being outcompeted by the existing institutions and new entrants in the market as well.
The recommended ethical strategy to resolve the issue would be reviewing the salaries and remunerations of the employees. Research evidence confirms that underpaid workers are not likely to deliver quality services to those that are given decent compensations. Equally, it is ethical to pay employee salaries that are commensurate with their efforts. The company should not embark on cutting down the resources to make some savings. This would even affect it further since quality would be compromised at the close of the day. These strategies would ensure improved performance and compliance with applicable local, state, or federal health care laws or policies as evident by the fact that they are interdem with what the authority expects. As a matter of general cognition, the laws designed by state and other administrating department are meant to make healthcare organizations perform better.
Conclusion
To ensure that the application of these strategies is ethical and culturally inclusive, I would check them against general ethics and the response of the affected parties once the procedures are implemented already. The policy encompasses the critical components of my recommendations since they are in line what the environment expects. However, the administration should be regulated at the implementation stage. These recommendations are very practical.
