Introduction

Research proves beyond reasonable doubt that early experiences are the best teacher to a young one. They usually help him appreciate the world as it comes with stable growth. It is because of this reason that children are subjected to early experiences that are mind building and engaging so that when they begin their education, they can be able to make use of the knowledge and become better people. During a child's growth, they do come across a lot of mixed feelings that includes love. With the undying love from their parents and the continuous interactions, they at times want to explore this lane of love. Because of this love, they usually do come up with cases of baby love where they do fall in love with their close friends. For some parents, this may be highly rebuked and shoved off because they do believe that at that stage, the children are too young to be thinking of such. However, what they fail to capture is that these things do stick to the brains of the child. Furthermore, now that their brain is developing, rebuking tends to make them feel lesser able in the field of love. The effect may not be brought out at that age, but with progressive growth, the behaviors linked to the antisocial people begins to creep in. Now, this is the problem. It is for this reason that one has to explicitly understand whether young feelings and interactions are good enough for a child and the effects it has on the future person.

The author Ryan Van Meter who studied non-fictional writing at the University of Iowa brings out his personal experiences as a child. According to him, what he went through when he expressed his early love is what makes him what he is today. When he first fell in love with a neighbor, he saw it fit to take this kind news to his one and only mother who had taught him the power of love. From his perception, his mother was best suited for the first batch of news so that she could share the accomplishments of her son. However, the same mother with whom they would previously stare at each other with love and without anything wrong with them now started changing. From that one in a million mother with respect, she began scolding his feelings more recklessly. These actions did nothing but confuse Ryan because he couldn't find a place to place the love she once taught him with the current situation. Now, with this, he grew up a somewhat confused man when it comes to love. In fact, when relating to the society, he still isn't sure whether the community even appreciates his efforts to bring out the sense of affection. In his publication, he gives himself the role of the narrator where it all starts as they are going back home after dinner out. He and Ben are seated in the back seat.

The two families have come together for dinner, and they are now getting back home. With both dads in the front and the mothers in the next seats, with the rain trickling slowly, the narrator is unable to stop himself from bringing out her love towards Ben. From his expression, it is clear that he feels him be spotless with everything kept perfectly tuned to bring out an adorable boy. However, he also manages to catch wind of the grown-up conversation where they are talking about a particular marriage. It is here where he captures very important words, " When two people are in love, they get married."

Judging from the way he is attached to soap operas and the tell tales of love, it is quite weird because even as his parents believe, it is only fair that boys at his age be outside playing rather than watching love films. However, this doesn't change his love for soap operas where he observes in the absence of his parents. According to him, the fact that people fight and cry and a lot of drama are in between for love interests him. It is because of this exposure and continuous need to express his love that he does find himself more into the love frame. For him, he does believe that with what he has heard about marriage, he I able to do the right thing.

With the mindset, he soon gets rather cozy. He finds himself looking at Ben more affectionately. This makes him see himself stretching his hand towards Ben's and holding him tight. At this point, he professes his love and Ben, unaware of anything responds. The blockbuster comes in when he asks Ben to marry him. This conversation gets to his mother who sharply turns to them. Reprimanding him for wanting to marry another boy, she explains to him that it does not work that way. However, feeling rather confident in his actions, the narrator is mad that he is not allowed to do what he sees fit. He can't wait to get home so that he can go lock himself up in his room.

Conclusion

According to the author, his belief in love and from what he has been hearing and watching is enough proof that he can take on love. However, when his mother reprimands his action, he feels confused. According to him, the beliefs that he is right in every sense. He feels as though he loves Ben and that he sees no reason to stop this from happening. This is why he gets so mad when his mother asks them to stop and tries to explain that marriage works between a girl and a boy. This brings out the fact that with growth, children to take in what they observe and are taught. However, stopping them from what they deem right kills their zeal.
