Many problems accompany the tenth day because the celebrations are halted to start breaking to bloody and vicious fights. According to Maslow hierarchy of needs, self-actualization is the second from the top of the regime and the people in the island have achieved their true potential through engaging in activities, which delight them (Compton). The people on the island have adapted to the norms in the society because they know the tenth day is going to be filled with destructions. Their esteem is high because they have a sense of love and belonging to the society. Even though there are fights on the 10th day, the people on the island find it easy to interact with each other, and they have accepted their lifestyle because it is a significant component of their needs.

The people in Enysbourg have a sense of belonging because they focus on happiness regardless of what the other parts of the world think of them. Most tourists come to the locality to enjoy a life free from working stress and achievement of their goals. The safety needs of the people are not a priority in the region because the people are engaged in massive destruction on the tenth day. The people have no freedom from war, and their health is not a priority because of the nature of society. Their life is all about being engaged in party life. Therefore, their psychological needs are not met adequately because the basics of life, such as water and food, are not prioritized.

The people on the island have a high affinity of achieving a high self-transcendence because they are welcoming people, and they help most of the tourists to adapt to life on the island. Achieving a high level of self-transcendence helps in the creation of a self-actualization principle because the people have the desire of continuing to be engaged in a blissful life (Hayashi 84). Although there are difficulties on the 10th day, the residents of the island find it easy to achieve happiness even after the chaos erupts. The 11th day starts well with people focusing on their health and healing through the creation of joy.

Out of the three Franklin philosophies, only one is achieved by the people of the island. Each person on the island does not priorities their health, and they do not focus their lives in enlightening people of their internal wellbeing (Lussier). Their only focus in the society is the creation of meaning and purpose in their life's and having a sense of fulfillment through being engaged in a blissful life for nine days and engaging in fights on the tenth day.
