As a nursing educator, I will form study groups in my class, where students can brainstorm and share ideas on a specific area. Monitoring the academic performance of students, as a nursing educator, this will give me an edge in identifying their strengths and weaknesses. Students prefer having a teacher who is concerned about their education, health, and performance in and out of class (Sloboda, 2006). Therefore, as a nursing educator, I will be required to create an environment where students can express their feelings without the fear of being judged.

A Comparison of Preceptor Feedback, Student Feedback, and Your Own Reflection

As a nursing educator, I prefer lecturing my students as a way of helping me in meeting my objectives. The field of nursing is vast, and a lot of lecturing and practicals are required to be done by students in the laboratory (Markowski & Dineen, 2018). Therefore, in lecturing, I will prefer a projector as a way of displaying content visually by using images and videos. Scholars say that information in power. As a nursing education, I will be required to research in different fields as a way of ensuring that my students receive first-hand knowledge. Also, I will create a friendly learning environment where students are allowed to ask questions when they do not understand a particular idea. This will help in building stronger ties with my students in the classroom. Also, as a way of testing their intelligence, I will be required to give them assignments and cats after the end of each unit. This will help my students in understanding concepts faster and improve their performance in class.

An Explanation of How You Will Use the Feedback

I will use the feedback to make the more professional development in my nursing career. Nursing is a field that teaches medical practitioners to be caring and understanding when handling patients in hospitals. These teachings will help me as a medical practitioners to improve in improving the health industry by offering quality services to patients. Teachers are required to create a one on one interaction with their students and that will be achievable with the use of feedback (Harms, 2013). The approach of feedback will help in understanding their strength and weaknesses in a particular field as well as identifying opportunities by nurturing them.

Plan For Continuing Professional Development and Refinement of Practice

The plan for continuing the professional development is by changing and adapting new practices. The nursing industry is changing; as a nursing tutor, I will be required to lecture my student’s currents trends in the health sector. This will give them an edge in the job market industry, where employers are looking for nurses equipped with the necessary skills. However, a lot of funding is required in nursing learning institutions. For increase, with the increased use of technology in hospitals, colleges do not have enough funds to purchase modern medical equipment. The government should create a platform where students can work in healthcare centers equipped with advanced equipment while in college. This will help them to adapt quickly to modern trends in the healthcare sector.
