According to (Hoffman et al., 2017) the introduction of electronic health records in different facilities has transformed the health care system completely. More patients are being served because this system is fast and efficient. Moreover, one of the main features of this system is that they have the ability to create and manage any health information, which in turn can be shared widely in different health facilities. This information can be shared among the various departments in the facility, such as the pharmacists, laboratories and even the emergency and outpatient casualties.

However, physicians in various health facilities are able to effectively talk with their patients and give them undivided attention because of the introduction of this electronic health records. It has benefited most health facilities because there are less paperwork and easy accessibility of information needed as well as reduced errors made during medicals. Consequently, the patient's care and safety have been improved.
