Introduction

NASA is are the initials that stand for a company in the United States. The full name of the company is known as the National Aeronautics and Space Administration. The responsibility of this National Agency is to research in aerospace, the program of the civilian and aeronautics. Fossils are the old remains of prehistoric animals or plants that are conserved in a petrified form or entrenched on a rock. Fossil records are the records of evolution and existence of the living organisms through the ecological time as contingent fossils.

During the past years, the economic growth of the world has increased, and it has also affected the climate of the earth negatively due to the activities that are conducted by human beings. These activities that contribute to global climate change are the development of many industries that emit a lot of carbon dioxide to the atmosphere and also the invention of motor vehicles and bikes that use energy from the petrol so that they can move. NASA plotted a graph that shows carbon dioxide against the past years of the 1950s. According to the graph that was provided by the NASA agency, it shows that the level of carbon dioxide remained at a constant level of 300 back in the year of 1950s before the current time. Now the concentration of carbon dioxide has risen to 400 parts per million all over the world. The leading cause of the rising of these levels of carbon dioxide is the industrial revolution. Since the revolution of industries, the emissions of carbon dioxide have increased to a very high amount. The recent event that has caused the rise of carbon dioxide levels is the burning of coal. Due to an increase of the fuel, many companies have decided to use coal as their primary source of energy, and hence vast amounts of smoke are released to the air and thus releasing the greenhouse effect gas.

If the global climate change is not controlled, it will continue affecting our planet negatively. According to reports given by NASA shows that if the carbon dioxide levels are not monitored, it will make the temperatures of the earth to continue rising. According to the reports given by the American research gate they say that 2018 was recorded as the second hottest year because the temperatures have not been smooth. The lengthening of the growing season has continued to affect the agriculture and ecosystems of the United States. The NASA reports show the patterns of precipitation have continued to change since the 1900s. The rain has increased more than the national average in some areas, and it has decreased in some areas. The high rate of global warming has led to increased heat waves and hence causing more droughts all over the world. NASA has given reports showing that there has been a massive reduction of moisture from the soils and the plants are not getting enough water to grow and hence causing famine and droughts. Since the 1980s, the frequency, intensity and hurricanes have continued to increase. If the climates continue to warm up, they project the fall of acidic rains and the hurricane storms. Due to the high rate that the ice is melting with, they have caused the levels of the sea to increase by 1 to 4 feet. If the storm surges combine with the rising of sea levels, they will cause floods to many parts of the world, and the coastline and beaches will be affected due to the rise of waters in the oceans. According to a report by NASA Agency, the increasing rate at which the ice is melting it cause the ice at the Arctic to be extinct.

Due to economic growth, pollution has significantly increased due to the emissions of harmful gases to the atmosphere. When the level of carbon dioxide increases in the air, it causes the acidic rain to fall to earth, and the aquatic animals and plants are affected because the acidic water is unfavourable for them. The timber companies are also causing deforestation, and this is making the animals that live in the forest to be homeless. When companies emit high levels of a greenhouse gas to the atmosphere, they cause global warming and hence there are increased temperatures the earth that make the ice to melt rapidly. The animals that live on the ice like polar bears because when the ice become extinct, they cannot persevere the high temperatures due to their adaptations and they also become extinct.

Since resource are required so that the population of humans to grow, those resources are being removed from the environment. The three threats to biodiversity include introduction species that are exotic, overharvesting and habitat loss. Economic growth is not bad for the planet because it is only a small number of natural resources that are used during the growth. A world that has grown economically it can benefit biodiversity. Due to the improvement in technology, humans have invented some trees that are fast-growing and hence this helps to reduce deforestation. The scientists have also clowned animals that can quickly adapt to the changing environment, and thus this will help various animals to adapt to the environment as the climate is changing.

Conclusion

When there is a lot of economic growth on the planet, there will be exploitation of natural resources such as deforestation, and this makes the wild animals lose their habitat and also biodiversity is affected. Due to the industrial revolution, there have been increased levels of carbon dioxide that leads to the change of climate. There can be increased temperatures, or the rainfall pattern may be affected causing the floods. The greenhouse gases affect the ozone layer, and this causes the temperatures hitting the earth to rise.
