Productivity within an organization is directly related to the level of employee satisfaction. This kind of satisfaction comes as a result of the motivational factors implemented by the organization.

The project aligns with my specialization because employee performance forms an integral component of the HRM.
Problem of Practice (NP)
The general business problem is lack of employee motivation resulting in poor work performance and job outcomes. The Specific business problem is how motivational factors can be used as a means to enhance employee performance resulting in improved productivity and job outcomes. Walmart being one of the major giant retailers in the US and other nations have for decades, demonstrated excellence in the retail sector. This project is, therefore, aimed at investigating how motivation is used as a factor to enhance performance among Walmart Company employees. Within the highly competitive environment, organizations are regularly subjected to tremendous pressure to retain their workforce. Studies have shown that highly skilled employees are a valuable asset for any organization (Ali et al., 2016). Highly motivated employees are more likely to have higher productivity. However, studies have demonstrated that excellent performance within an organization is about motivation only and incorporates other abilities such as the skills, equipment, supplies, and time. Numerous organizations have been known to demonstrate a high staff turnover despite offering above-average salaries. A situation likes this informs us that money is not the only way to encourage motivation among employees (Ackah, 2014). In the same way, different employees are motivated by various factors. Therefore, managers must have a better understanding of what motivates individual employees, besides, to note assuming one-size-fits-all. Studies have shown that an organization is only as good as its workforce (Ackah, 2014). In this way, human resources must be treated with great care based on the specialized resources that need to be addressed through special managerial attention and time.
Purpose of the Project (NP)
The purpose of this qualitative inquiry is to assess the impacts of motivation as a means of enhancing staff performance and job productivity among Walmart employees. The research will based in the Walmart headquarters located in Bentonville, Arkansas, United States.
