Introduction
Prairie planting style, which is also referred to as the modern perennial planting, primarily focuses on using various ornamental grasses, which are best combined with late flowering plant perennial in order to have a naturalistic appearance. It is a popular planting style that has been used by major designers and has great influence over the decades for most gardeners. In various bigger gardens, it is possible to have plants in various drifts, while in smaller gardens, one can plan various perennial plants in groups of let's say three, then have another group with a different perennial integrated with the first group, and take on such a routine. The general structure could be inclusive of abundant grasses and clipped topiary shaping. The essay will look into developing a prairie plant for a garden (Hovland et al., 19).
The Prairie to be analyzed below will have an approximation of about ten acres, and it will include various native plants with colors all through the year. The prairie garden is in the county of porter and has coverage of full sunlight and a normal PH for the soil. Hunting is practiced in the area as deer are present, and therefore below are some of the various perennial plants and flowerings that a prairie in such a location will likely have (Lin, Watts, Torbert, and Howe, 2019).
Allium Cernuum - Nodding Onion
This amazing white to the pink type of flower that is in the onion family best suits in the Prairie because it is all flowery and grows up to a height of 2 feet tall. The plant effectively survives and grows in areas of moist soils and those with full sun as it is with the Porter County. The plant can only best appear great in a garden if planted in masses because it best occupies a low profile area that would take the practice of hunting. Having this plant in the Prairie would be a great choice as it would give the land the best coverage for the deer and hunting, and also since it is flowery, an excellent color projection in the sunny area would just be amazing.
Amorpha Fruticosa - Indigo Brush
Here is a flowery plant that would be great for coloring a garden. The food plain shrub survives best in a medium wet soil, which the area within the garden best offers. The porter is great salting to its land, and this plant is salt tolerant and can grow to the height of 18 feet. The flowery plant sheds purple flowers, which would be great for the sunlight in the area. The prairie garden would thus have a great taste to its beautiful color with this plant.
Asclepias Syriaca - Common Milkweed
The common milkweed is a great attraction to butterflies and a perfect flowering in the sun. The plant survives in well-drained soil, and since it can take rhizome to vast large colonies, the plant can be a great addition to the garden. With its aesthetic aspect of color and butterfly attraction, the plant thus can be a great addition in the garden for the full view of the sun and general land projection.
Baptisia Alba - White Wild Indigo
This member of the pea family will be a great assessor in the garden as it can tolerate the medium PH 7 of the area and also produces very bright flowers, which will be a projection of the colors as the area is with great sunlight glare. The plant has a beautiful view, especially with its colorful flowers, and thus will be a great addition to the prairie garden.
