The Berlin Wall was raised in 1961 during the cold war period. It aimed at separating East and West Berlin. For that matter, the term cold war was given to the relationship between USA and USSR when WW2 ended. The wall was used to reveal different political systems' ideologies.
1. RIAS and Why It Was Important?
RIAS was a radio operator to reach all Berliners. The Radio was made in 1946. The radio captured all Berliners, both East, and West. The radio was an evident functional facility that enabled both the West and East to be communicated about the message of opposition and propaganda. RIAS opened all windows and doors that were closed as "it gave a clear and undisputable correct use." RIAS opened doors for the communication of warfare that was planned. Planned nuclear reactors were able to be communicated across the Berlin.
The chaos and scramble for power between the West and East after the end of WW2 made it necessary for RIAS to be established. RIAS, i.e., Radio in the Soviet Union provided grounds for the fight against ideologies of the Soviet Union and the West. The radio offered a chance to control masses through the battle of the mind. Also, RIAS provided an opportunity to oppose Soviet's media monopoly.

Adam Kellett Long was lucky to be the first correspondent to watch over the scene and to tell the world about the construction of Berlin Wall in 1961. The building of Berlin wall enabled the development of RIAS which offered Adam Kellett a chance to escape an impending danger after he received a call that informed him to avoid getting to bed on that particular night. It is clear that the Berlin Wall offered a chance for sharing vital information that protected lives from Savages in the Soviet Union. Adam provided an opportunity for the coverage of the escape and rescue of people during the cold war and the construction of the Berlin Wall.
3. How the Western NBC covered East Berliners Fleeing? And The Reasons Why It Was a problem for the USSR
The escape into the West was filmed and financed by CBS and NBC. Even though President Kennedy intervened to suppress the films in fear that they would jeopardize the good relations with the Soviet Union, NBC show aired the video after several pushbacks. NBC later won three Emmys. NBC broadcasted the news on both sides of Berlin thus leading to the mass escape of people to the West. More after that, it was announced that the wall was null and void due to intellectual evasion was rampant thus incapacitating the communist rule. The story was a problem to the USSR since President Kennedy feared of what would happen next in line with the relations with the Soviet Union. However, it was an awakening message to hear of the pull-down of the wall and realize the best relationships. Freedom was enhanced due to the cover that NBC news offered.
4. How Western Media Offered Help to Protesters in East Germany Western
Media covered the people who were escaping from the East through the iron curtain by letting the few people who had fled to the West dig tunnels that enabled the East Berliners to escape to the West.
