The budget utilization between Texas and Massachusetts has similar aspects such as developing the budget through the process that involves the legislative arm of the government. There is a similarity regarding revenue allocation as both states have set aside a fund for education, funds for transportation and security. The differences come secondary to the amount allocated to the various government departments. This is an essential referencing point of the priorities of these two states. For instance, the Texas state has awarded the most significant percentage of its revenue to the Medicaid which is a whopping $62.4 billion, on the other hand, Massachusetts has allocated $22 million to the health care and human services. (Hegar) The lowest allocation was border security in Texas and was standing at $ 0.8 billion. Massachusetts allocated $ 1.1 million to public safety. These differences are in part due to differences in size of the states as Texas is more prominent than Massachusetts and hence more significant revenue collection for Texas. Variation in the quality of life will be much better as of small population size compared to Texas this is because the Massachusetts government had surplus finances after meeting all its needs and was channeled back to the government coffers. (massgov)In my opinion, quality of life refers to the state of comfort regarding health, happiness in a given society. In Texas, numerous factors make this state become a place that's easy to settle in. One of the reasons is the ease in doing businesses. This has been attributed pro-growth factors that facilitate ease of entrepreneurship. These factors include low taxes, favorable regulations, and a supportive government. Texas has also offered a functional framework that nurtures innovation in matters technology and diversification of industries. This has promoted the reduction of unemployment as many employers move to Texas and they acquire labor force from the Texans.
There is improved quality of life, and this can be evidenced by good schools, low energy cost and low cost of living. (Abbott). Having a closer look at other factors that made Massachusetts rank high regarding economic performance and better quality of life is the fact that they made education and health care their main priority in the list of agenda. Health and education mainly play a more significant role in matters to do with the quality of life. Employed people will want to stay in a given place and among the things they consider before settling is the availability of social amenities at friendly cost and ease of accessibility.
Massachusetts has managed to integrate this through what they call the bipartisan approach to issues. There is a collaborative asynchrony in political parties that have formed the habit of working together despite political differences. So people have embraced the idea of collaboration and compromise, and this has boosted the bipartisan approach. This has enabled policy-wise implementation in education, health, energy, and economic spaces. The fast rate of growth and reduced levels of unemployment has drastically improved the economy of Massachusetts. (Kelly). Texas, on the other hand, is the hub for technology. It was recently named the top state of the decade. It is the leader in job creation over the last ten years thanks to its diversity in technological propensity. It is home to many headquarters which are fortune makers. Therefore, these two states offer unique structures and changing to the other will affect their performance. (Abbott)Changing of the priorities by the states will have a negative impact on the dwellers of that specific state. A good example is that the state of Texas is known to be the big wig when it comes to matters entrepreneurship. (Abbott). Changing to other diversities will render the people living in that area jobless, causing the cost of living also to skyrocket. Massachusetts it's a hub for education matters, changing this will lower quality of education. (Kelly). For instance, the Texas state has made its name through offering the various cultural attractions due to its vast nature of cultural diversity. For you to come and withdraw or make a change to these factors, then this will automatically affect the growth of Texas. As at now, Texas is referred to as the America's America, meaning that as a state, it has unique characteristics to itself. A graduate of energy course set up an energy supplying firm and has reported that it is much easy to conduct business in Texas than any other state. To give the evidence that Texas is ever growing, the recent statistics has illustrated that Texas is a reflection of America as a whole, such that there is economic inequality in America as a country, the same picture is painted in Texas.
