Beigel Bake
Beigel bake has its roots to the early Jewish community of London with their famous smoked salmon bagel and salt beef sandwich on high demand. They are a result of the Jewish community that resided in the brick lane in the early 19th century. The population eventually migrated to the north, but the shops remained as Beigel bake one of the last relics to a different time. It is open twenty-four hours a day with its most brilliant dish as the beef or the salmon with cheese or bagels. Over the years the beigel bake menu has remained relatively constant with the most significant change being the taste of the clientele. They evolved from pickles and cheese during the sixties to the now much preferred salted beef.
The crisp crust and chewy interior is a result of the bakery choosing to boil the bagels before baking, a process that is unique to them and has led to their immense popularity. Asking for anything gluten free will lead scowls all over the counter as they are staunch believers of their first treats.
They use machinery to create their bagels to keep up with demand, and therefore a customer need not wait long to for an order.
