A good man is really hard to find as I firmly believe that people tend to reap whatever they sew. Within the story a good man is hard to find, the grandmother is taken as the prime example of this particular scenario. The grandmother's pathetic ploys and also the act of deviance on several occasions causes the arm to the family within the entire story and the same ends up battling her towards the end of the story. Any reasonable person can clearlyshow that harm is inevitable for that particular family due to some of the clues that are found within the grandmother's behavior generally (Keil 44-47). A very important example to illustrate the attitude of the grandmother can be identified from the first paragraph when she insisted that the family should go to vacation in East Tennessee instead of going to Florida and this is a clear indication of a form of dictatorship which has been realized. This is because however much the entire family is intended to spend their vacation in Florida the grandmother is really determined that the family must comply with her idea(Keil, 2006).

The grandmother is described as a very dishonest person. She has been telling a lot lies to the little John Wesley who is also her grandson about the plantation she was always used to visiting. She went ahead to pointing an old graveyard which was visible along the road sign which was also not true. This character did not portray anything good about the grandmother in that she would have acted as a role model and a mentor to her grandson who knew so little about the history and the operation of various things.

With a rare but at the same consideration to be very significant, the exemption that most of the critics accept in the description of "a good man is hard to find " is that is it described as a tale of the redemption story or grace is a fallen world. The religious stories that are concerned within the story are brought out in a series of motifs and emblems that greatly mutes the superficial naturalistic style (Keil 44-47). As many researchers and scholars have brought it out, the grandmother's recognition of her blood kinship with the desperate figure belatedly redeem that grandmother from the type of life that she has been living that was petty, materiality and at the same time selfish. The grandmother's childlike expression at the time that she collapses with the crossed legs into her own grave was suggested or described as a symbol of her sudden accession onto the Christian grace.

In addition to the way Bailey and his wife generally treated her, the grandmother tries as much as she could to put up with the frequent herbal abuses from her grandchildren. Of recent consideration, the children have the ability to say whatever they able to speak to the grandmother despite how disrespectful their utterance might be. This situation was not really a confusing as it was compared to the way the grandmother used to treat the children that made them grow to become very arrogant and disrespectful. To be treated in such a way with the children that were of very tender age did turn out to be a very bitter situation to the grandmother and this would have been the same to any other person who could have undergone a similar situation.

The grandmothers attempt to dictate and deceive the family is the direct reason as to why the family later turn out to mistreat her. Bailey together with his wife is no longer interested in any form of the grandmother's desires and this turned out to affect her so negatively. All the children just have shown a very disrespectful nature in whatever action they performing towards the grandmother. Several scholars have in this case point out how elderly people are being mistreated and the opinion of the grandmother is of no significance even if it considered. The older people such as the grandmother are no longer considered important unless they carry something so extraordinary and this situation and belief have really affected the grandmother. According to the grandmother's experience, she can perfectly say the no human being is good as the title illustrates but still she must take into account that it might be her early behaviour and she treated the family that might have made things to turn out the way they now occur.

The analysis of the book brings out various themes that stand out to be very significant and this includes: good and evil, religion, and the importance of family.
