The question that many may ask is what an ideal work environment is? It is working in a most productive and comfortable surrounding where one can learn and improve his/ her skills for the good welfare of the company. Moreover, one can use his/her capabilities and values for the growth of the organization. However, working with different individuals, having different characters, coming from various backgrounds, may have some of its shortcomings. To mention just a few; an unnecessary argument, lack of respect, a poor relation, gossip extra. Working together at the same time improves team works, which creates learning other skills, develop relationships and identifies the best fit for an individual.
Whenever various personalities work under the similar roof, there is said to have friction often, for instance, an unnecessary argument between employees or supervisors/ management and workers. Teams working under pressure and timeline may be vulnerable to flare-ups of issues and tempers (Thompson, 35). It may lead to wiles, and the team may not get along with each other as required, relationships may also be profoundly affected. To solve this kind of problem training should be made to employees how to manage work challenges. It would improve relationships between employees and help them to work as a great team with minimal or no arguments (Appelbaum et al,21). A suitable and comfortable work environment it is experienced since employees can work for the same purpose and goal of attaining the best out of their teamwork.
When employees feel disrespected and valueless in an organization, high level of burnout is experienced. Respect is an element of identification, where employees get well-established in the workplace and feel meaningful. On the other hand, where disrespect is observed the organization tends to be treating people poorly. Hence, high rate of flare-up is experienced, for instance where employees may feel disrespected burnout may occur, by employees demoralizing (Appelbaum et al, 33). This expression demonstrated by employees may affect the organization negatively and led to emotional exhaustion, a major factor of burnout. However, where employees feel respected are likely to work hard on behalf of an organization and fewer workers leaving the employment.
Gossip in the workplace is another dangerous element since it can result in co-workers losing trust between them. It can also affect the morale of an employee negatively and ends up quitting the job, even strains on teamwork and output (Kuo et al, 67). An organization should come up with confidential clauses to prevent disclosure of sensitive information, especially from management members. Disciplinary action should be introduced to reduce workplace gossip.
Excellent working environment improves the relationship among employees; strong team spirit can be experienced, and high returns are evident (Thompson, 88). The sense of unity is at the same time evoked, and workers may work extra harder to achieve the companies vision, mission, and objectives. Teamwork also brings employees from different project together this improves the relationship of individual and helps in learning of various skills (Appelbaum et al, 99). Organisation also experiences an increase in innovation leading to expansion of the company and more turnovers. Disposition of co-workers and supervisors should be done according to the company policy to ensure fairness and equal treatments of workers (Appelbaum et al, 71). It will improve the relationship between workers and unity is enhanced in the organization (Appelbaum et al,105) . While dressing to work, one should wear accordingly, for men suits are encouraged and for women descent dress and not those that attract attention. Conclusion
Conclusively, an ideal working environment should be where employees can express their challenges, can learn new skills, there is conducive environment to motivate workers to work hard. Teamwork should be encouraged in workplaces to ensure better quality commodities, unity among the workers and also in society. The elements like gossip, arguments should be solved by putting in place policies and disciplinary measures.
