The effectiveness of the moderator in a group panel

I recently watched a group panel on "Politicon Panel 2018 Is It Funny or Offensive" on YouTube about a group panel. Looking at the panel I would say that the panel argument would not have been better without a moderator taking up his role. Trying to ditch a moderator out of argument panel according to the video I realized it could have far worse turnaround to a debate or even an argument. I learned that the moderator of the panel played a different role depending on the objective of the panel and the argument. I realized the moderator Mr. Norman acted like a champion of the audience he really kept all the audience issues cared for and also assessed their reaction particular aspect of the argument. Mr. Norman facilitated all the agenda brought out in the argument. The moderator kept track of time for the agenda he could even cut short a person for overextending. The moderator was so neutral and withheld his personal opinion on the agenda that was discussed and did not bias or favored any side. He also energized the crowd.

The effectiveness of the participants based on their roles

In the panel "Politicon Panel 2018 Is It Funny or Offensive" it consisted of 6 participants. The participant brought life to the panel. They brought out their personal view and their respondent participants also brought their other opinion on the argument and this brought friction that could only be solved by the use of logic. The participants seem to have vast knowledge on the topic. Which only brought logic which could be countered by another logic. They were very energized and keep the moderator fully involved in the conversation. Logical questions were also brought out by the moderator

The overall success of the group panel process

According to the panel, the overall success of a group panel discussion was fully depended on the moderator instructions. "Politicon Panel 2018 Is It Funny or Offensive" panel discussion followed the same principle. The moderator initiated the participants and it was the role of the moderator to cut them or if another participant had their different view on a case. As a rule, I realized that the participants had to give a signal to the moderator first before trying to bring out there point to the audience. Because a panel discussion its all about the exchange of idea keeping the conversation short was essential. I observed that for the success of a group panel the participants who did not contribute was very attentive and they were ready to point out any conflicting opinion with their own. Conversation advancement is I saw like was what resulted in the success of the discussion. The discussion started from a neutral point of view "president Donald trump's twitter about the horse face" the conversation the built-in various reaction from the participants and hence broke the discussion.

Conclusion

In conclusion, the right panel should have a moderator who controls all the proceeding of the panel. The moderator should keep time and involve all the participants. On the other hand, participants are vital in bring up a discussion. They have to stick to plot and participate following the set rules of the discussions. Hence form a group discussion to be successful it needs an involving moderator with good participating participants to pay attention to what discussed and respond according.
