Gotham City, July, 2014. The city is known for its competence in terms of the tourism sector. A large number of tourists have been registered since the Board was established. The tourism sector is an important factor for the social and economic growth of Gotham City and the entire New York. The number of both local and international tourists had reduced. The failure was attributed to increased crime rates. Urban tourism is important in promoting international interactions, therefore, improving good global relations (Rabbiosi, 2015). Tourism is pivotal in accentuating place-full theme in Gotham City because it connects the local people with pleasurable and experienced people visiting the city.
As a member of the Tourism Board, I should consider coming up with amicable solutions leading to immediate effect and improvement of tourism in Gotham City Tourism. Prostitution is among the crimes that were witnessed in Gotham. The locals had eroded the morals of the city, therefore, giving it's a bad picture. Insecurity had also become rampant in the city. These two crimes were the main contributors to insecurity. By then, international tourists were scared resulting in a reduction in tourism activities. In order to improve tourism activities and services offered to the visitors, these crimes had to be minimized and prevented. The blossoming of the Apple trees was a clear indication of a change in terms of tourism and attraction. Environment is pivotal in creating a natural attraction of visitors (Palmer & Richards, 2012). Reduction in crime rates is vital for effective planning and performance during the arranged festival. The festival will improve tourism because it is a form of attraction. Local cultures and artifacts provide a good outward appearance of the Gotham City Tourism Board.
Gotham City Tourism Board is located in New York City. Tourism promotes social and economic development because visitors increase revenue that is used for further growth. Touring the city will also improve business activities especially when the visits are made by international investors. The Board has its office along Starling Avenue. All people are welcomed to visit the office in case they need more information regarding Gotham City Tourism. Insecurity had increased in the City and murdering of people was common along the streets especially at night (O'MEARA & Tretter, 2013). Manslaughter had scared visitors and reduced the number of visits made to the site. New York Police Department was instructed by the government to improve security in the city. Tourism has been conceptualized to local cultures and economic revolution in the country. In essence, sociologists have provided amicable solutions for improving social wellbeing of the locals without much influences from global visitors because some tourists have been reported to undermine with morals of residents.
Conclusion
A global economy and multidimensional effects of tourism are homogenizing factors maintain good international relations and cohesion. Security is a key factor in promoting visits to the tour sites. The inclusion of the Bruce Wayne Downtown Art Festival in the activities of the Board is pivotal for improving tourist attraction and recognizing contributions made by local cultures. As a board member, I should advise the committee on the application of appropriate strategies to reduce challenges facing tourism Sector in Gotham City. The use of modern technology is important in supervising all activities conducted in the attraction site and improving security the use of modern sensors and technological cameras (Ward, 2016). I also urge the tourism board to improve the conditions of accommodation facilities and quality of services offered to the tourists.
