According to (Spector, 2010), Going Green is defined as the process in which organizations make environmentally friendly decisions such as to "reduce, reuse and recycle." Sustainability is the process of saving natural resources to maintain a balance in the ecosystem.

The organization was dedicated to bringing sustainability to the environment. One of the green initiatives he or she has taken entails construction of an on-site waste wastewater facility responsible for removing contaminants in water before its discharge back into the sewer systems. The proposed initiative is a cost-saving measure that is meant to reduce the expense of wastewater (Spector, 2010). The regulations of the government built the project. With corporate sustainability involvement, the company chooses to invest in constructing on-site wastewater facility to enhance on continual growth.
The company was supposed to comply with the by-laws in the industrial sector in "Ontario" as without meeting by the laws the company will be subject to fines of $50,000 per day for the first offense. They did not believe the process for implementation change was met as per chapter 8 of our textbook, even though they were aware of new government regulations they by-passed the defensive stage and continued compliance and committed on current needs and anticipated future growth of the company (Spector,2010). Once the initiatives became operational, it motivated leadership to scrutinize other components for improvement. However they did not utilize early diagnostic efforts, they could have enhanced this process by involving front-line staff, who could have provided an improved value due to their relevant knowledge and skills in the area of operation.
DQ #2
The company resulted in cultural change as their efforts to initiate the going green initiatives. They had taken the steps of creating silos and have an open concept office simply meaning to minimize the cabinets and drawers of full work which is not necessary (Kopnina, 2018). Documentation was intended to be electronic, which means a more significant cost of implementing the software especially the cloud storage space for reducing paperwork.
According to chapter 8 of the textbook, they indicated some factor that triggered changes in companies' goals and strategies for going green.
Setting the vision through having new ways of thinking.
I am diagnosing the status quo to analyze the feedback from the public.
I am preparing informal than formal design elements, where errors are detected.
DQ #3
The company recently switched to a paperless office which is a going green method. Like using less filing cabinets to increase the office space and encourage on the paperless operation. This change addresses sustainability on companies in the current generation without encompassing the needs of the future generations to come (Kopnina, 2018). I understand the reason why companies are focusing on these aspects in the contemporary world. This is mainly due to the millennial organizations who push other companies to embrace going green initiatives, and by 2025 we expect their representation to be 75% of the workforce. Profit over purpose is definitely what most people want we want to see. Due to this reason, most companies will focus on boosting their sustainability initiatives to lure customers in choosing their products over their rival companies.
