Introduction

There is a range of images of God that are revealed from the scripture. In the eighth verse of the chapter, it says that the Lord is compassionate and gracious. The compassionate image of God reveals that he shows empathy and concern for others and gracious is to mean that He shows divine grace. The verse also says that God is slow to anger and abounding in loving kindness. Another image of God is that He is forgiving and a healer. The third verse of the chapter states that the Lord forgives all our sins and heals our diseases. God satisfies people's years with good things and renews one's youths like the eagle.

Another image of God from the chapter is that he is full of redemption. In verse 4 it states that God redeems one's life from their pit of destruction. He crowns one with His loving-kindness and also compassion. He forgives people for their sins, and they can attest that as far as the east is from the west, the Lord has removed their sins. Another image is that God is a ruler. In verse 19, it states that His kingdom rules over all. The Lord has established His throne in heaven, and he rules over all people. The overall impression of God is that he is transcendent, where he is above human experience.

Psalm 104

The chapter reveals that the Lord is wise and works in marvellous ways. Verse 24 of the chapter says that God manifolds His work in wisdom, which he has used to make all things; hence the earth is full of his riches. The section also views God as the creator. He created the cloud as his chariot and the winds as the messengers. He has set the earth on its foundations such that it cannot be moved. God is also a provider, as the chapter suggests. He makes springs pour water into the ravines that give water to all beasts of the field.

Another image of God from the chapter is that He is glorious. Human beings pray that the glory of the Lord endures forever and that He may rejoice in his works. The section also says that God is all-powerful. It means that when God looks at the earth, it trembles, and when he touches the mountains, they smoke. When God hides his face, people of the earth and terrified, and when God takes away their breath, they die and return to dust. The Lord is full of spirit such that when He sends it down, there are new beings created, and that is to renew the face of the ground. The overall impression of God is that he is omniscient and knows everything.

Psalm 139

The chapter says that the Lord is all-knowing. He has searched and knows everyone. He knows when people sit and when they arise. He perceives the thoughts of people even from far. He is the one to determine when one goes out and when they lie down. He has all the knowledge even before one mentions any word, and He knows it all thoroughly. The Lord is wonderful in the way he does things because he makes everything beautiful. God is everywhere, and people rely on Him, and they are unable to flee to other places. The chapter says that if one goes to heaven, the Lord is there, even when they make their bed in the depths, the Lord is there.

Another image of God, as revealed in the chapter, is that God is holy because He ordained the days for men who were written in a book before they came to be. God is to be praised because of the way He created people fearfully and wonderfully. Generally, God's works are wonderful, and He is precious. He knew everyone, even before they were formed in the body. God is also good, and people should speak to Him with good intentions. The overall impression of God is that he is omnipotent, where He has great power and influence.

Luke 15:11-32

The part of the Bible talks about the Parable of the lost son. The piece shows that God is merciful. He declares His character through people. Through His mercy, He accepts people who were lost back to the Kingdom and shows them the right way to follow. It reveals that God is a provider because when the lost son came back, the father provided him with new items to feel comfortable, and so is the Lord.

The parable also reveals that the Lord is full of wrath. When the lost son demanded his share of the property and went to a distant country, the Lord punished him by making him squander all his wealth and end up starving to death. It is to say that disobedience is not allowed. Another image is that God is full of love. The lost son remembered that in his father's yard, the servants had plenty of food to spare. When he was a long way off, his father was filled with compassion for him, and he threw his arms and kissed him. The overall impression of God is that he is impeccable and does his things in love.
